PLEASE NOTE: These awards were designed by JohnF for the exclusive use of TLO. These awards are not to be used for a non-TLO purpose.

Awards are given out to members who meet criteria listed below every 3 months during Community Day. Community Days are announced a few weeks prior to the event. Keep an eye on the announcements forum for more details.

TLO Award List:


Administrative Support Award
This award is given to members who hold a position within the community and have excelled in that position, going above and beyond the call of duty. These members work tirelessly for the community and devote great amounts of time to the forums and/or server. Without the contributions of such members, TLO could not function.


Character Award
This award is given to members who develop a memorable character. Such a character has been developed so well over such a period of time that the presence of this character deeply enriches the plots they are a part of.


Jean-Luc Picard Command Cross
This award is given to members who constantly lead brilliant role plays on the server, or who show superior leadership ability across TLO. Such a member often commands a plot that always attracts many people. This member's ability to craft a story is legendary, and their plots are anticipated greatly.


Community Service Award
This award is given to members who go above and beyond to serve the community. These members work tirelessly in many ways to help support the community, and are frequently seen on the forums and server.


Distinguished Service Award
This award is given to members who have made a profound mark on the community. By their efforts, TLO has been immeasurably strengthened. Their fresh ideas have guided this community; their actions have represented it well; and their attitude has always been inspiring. Such members clearly stand out in the community as legendary figures that have made the successes of TLO possible. This award can only be given out by a majority council vote.


Fleet Veteran Award
This award is given to members who are active in STO and gain 1st place on the STO Starbase leadership boards.


Good Conduct Award
This award is given to members who continually show a respect for the Code of Conduct. These members go above and beyond to make sure their behavior is exemplary, and respect all members in the community.


Improvement Award
This award is given to members who have dramatically improved their performance in game. Their willingness to work hard and build up their talents has paid off, and they are continually becoming successful members in the community.


Creativity Commendation
This award is given to members who have preformed or shared exceptional creative projects with the community, which has been well received by members. This can include, but is not limited to, written works, graphic art, mapping, STO foundry missions, exceptional creativity in RPG-X roleplays, etc.


Exceptional Activity Award
This award is given to members who are exceptionally active both in-game and on the forum. These members regularly participating in events, community days, and forum topics and are well known and frequently seen on the servers.


Special Service Cross
This awards is given to a member who goes above and beyond the call of duty in service to this community. In order to receive this award, a member needs to have provided some service to this community outside of their normal duties. Examples might include stepping in to assist in helping out or running a special project, providing a good or service to the community for free that benefits TLO, etc.


Leonard McCoy Medical Award
This award is given to members who prove to be exceptional roleplayers in the medical department. These unsung heroes of sickbay work tirelessly to keep the crew healthy and on its feet, and during times of crisis they can always be counted on. CO's are always gratified to have such members in their RP as their CMO. This award is also given to members who show superior healing/support capability in all of TLO's supported games.


Notable Leadership Award
This award is given by the Cabinet to anyone in a TLO leadership position they feel has performed beyond expectations in the course of their duties.


Outstanding Event Award
Similar to the 'Outstanding SRP Service Award', this award is given to members who are outstanding participants of a TLO event, or to a member who puts on an outstanding event.


Outstanding Serial Role Play Award
This award is automatically given to members who receive an SRP commission and conduct a successful pilot episode. This award is also given to members who are exceptional participants in an SRP. The SRP is strengthened by these members, and their contributions can always be counted on by the SRP leader. Members are recommended for this medal by an SRP leader.


Outstanding Roleplayer Award
This award is given to members who continually perform well in role plays. In every RP they are a part of, their presence adds a new depth to the plot. Those who show exceptional skill in roleplays and remain active may receive this medal.


Recruitment Award
This award is given to members who always try to recruit members into the community. These members have appropriately recruited several people into the group, and work tirelessly to represent TLO to the best of their abilities to potential recruits.


Vulcan Science Award
This award is given to members who prove to be exceptional roleplayers in the science department. These members are familiar with the wonders of the universe, and combine this knowledge with Trek Tech to make themselves a valuable member of an RP. COs are always gratified to have such members in their RP as their CSO. This award is also given to STO officers who have mastered the role of a scientist, using their buffs wisely to help the fleet.


Montgomery Scott Medal
This award is given to members who have proved to be exceptional roleplayers in the engineering department. These members are intimately familiar with the technical aspects of Star Trek, and go the extra mile in RPs to make sure the ship is kept in tip-top shape. CO's are always gratified to have such members in their RP as their CE or Ops. This award is also given to non-RP officers who have mastered the role of an engineer, using their buffs wisely to help the fleet, or creative builders in Minecraft or GMod.


Tuvok Tactical Commendation
This award is given to members who have proved to be exceptional roleplayers in the security department. These members are able to act out battles seamlessly and work tirelessly in RPs to keep the ship secured. This award is additionally given to tacticians who show superior capability in any combat scenario.


The Talkie Toaster Award
This award is given to members who are extremely active on Teamspeak, or come up with otherwise quirky ways to communicate. This award can also be given to members who are active on the forums and the shoutbox and come up with interesting and entertaining posts which are widely enjoyed by the community and brighten up everyone's day.


TLO Spirit Award:
This award is given to members who embody the spirit of TLO--compassion, community, and enthusiasm, in recognition of the value their presence enriches this community and makes it a better place.


Technical Commendation
This award is given to members who go above and beyond in their RPs to make sure every detail is in line with the trek world. These members know the trek universe backwards and forwards and apply their knowledge to make an RP more realistic. This is also given to members who contribute to the technical side of TLO through design, or through mapmaking and to any member showing superior knowledge in TLO's various supported games.

Discontinued Awards: (Awards no longer given out to members, but those who received these awards still keep them)






TLO Service Cross (intervals: 6 months, 1 year, 18 months, 2 years, 30 months)
This award is given to members who have been active members of The Last Outpost for a set period of time. Their dedication and loyalty to the community has strengthened us, and we are grateful for their contributions.


Council Service Ribbon
This award was given to anyone who served on the Council.


Senate Service Ribbon
This award was given to anyone who served on the Senate. Their service has strengthened the community and gained the respect of the membership.

Minecraft Building Merit Award
Given to a member who has produced an amazing creation in game that is unique and imaginative.

Minecraft Activity Award
Given to a member who is exceptionally active in Minecraft, regularly participating in events, community days, and building in general.

Minecraft Division Contribution Award
Given to a member who has worked tirelessly for the Minecraft Division, and who has been exceptionally active on the server.
