A serial roleplay, or "SRP" for short, is an episodic series of roleplay sessions tied together by a central continuity. They generally run for several "seasons," each consisting of six to ten episodes focused on a major story thread. Series that run for multiple seasons usually shift the major plot points of the story at the beginning of each season.

SRPs are a massive responsibility, both creatively and personally. The members who participate will be counting on you to guide them on your journey through the Star Trek universe, as well as managing the resources necessary to discuss and plan it out. If you want to tell a story, but you're unsure of your ability to handle an undertaking of this magnitude, a "mini" serial roleplay would be a great place to start!

The Last Outpost hosts multiple series that meet on various days of the week. A full schedule for these sessions is available here:

Star Trek: Scorpion (mSRP) - by Bacon_Season - Saturday @ 19:30BST / 14:30EST - ABOUT THIS mSRP
Star Trek: Temporal Leap (SRP) - by Callum Jackson and Scott Archer - Sundays @ 20:30BST / 15:30EST - ABOUT THIS SRP
Star Trek: Tyrella (mSRP) - by Grizz and Criminula - Sundays @ 18:30BST / 13:30ST - ABOUT THIS mSRP
Star Trek: A Whole New World (SRP) - by Tuvok - Sundays @ 16:00BST / 11:00ET - ABOUT THIS SRP

If you're interested in joining any of these series, you can click the links to apply in their respective sub-forums.

As long as you are a member, you can submit an SRP for consideration! No other requirements!
SRPs can be submitted at any time for any un-taken timeslot. And from there will be required to run a pilot episode with a vote opening following the episode for one week. If the vote passes, then your SRP will be commissioned and must start within two weeks.

To submit your SRP proposal, send Grizz and Tanglepaw12 a personal message with the following information:

The name of your series:
A summary of the story arc:
A rough estimate of average episode length:
SRP timeslot:
Any special server settings you think you might need:
Any special subforum layout considerations for your SRP:
Any maps, music packs, and other files you will be using for the SRP:

NOTE: A full list of maps included in our RPG-XUE client is available here. This is useful in determining what most of your potential crew members will have available in their installs, which may help in the planning process.

Remember, the more detail you include in your submission, the higher the chances of people attending and enjoying your pilot episode! If your submission fails to garner enough interest, you can refine it and try again in the future. Don't be discouraged! Some of the best SRPs in TLO history have come from rocky starts.
