The Purge

80 years after the great exodus - which led to the Hadin Occupation of the Realm (including the planets Olympus, Taurus, and the destruction of Eden) - Walter Peirce, The Alliance and her new Allies: the Osirian, The Legion and the Q Continuum and Valkyr, went on the offensive, to retake their homes.

During the Last battle of Olympus, nearly 5 years after the crusade began, The Alliance fleet held their line against a continuing onslaught of Hadin Forces. Seeing an opportunity to strike hard, Peirce and the Hercules went after the last Hadin Command ship, a Normandy Clone....

Mere moments before being able to order the boarding parties to advance... A large vessel of still unknown origin, appears out of slipstream - and begins to fire on the Hadin command ship. As the Hadin powered up their dreadnaught weapon, a chain reaction occurred - which destroyed the ship - and sent a shockwave and debris over to the large unknown craft - which was under siege by the Hercules.

A particle of Antimatter collided with the engine core of the Monstrous vessel. - which, combined with the Hadin explosion in progress, increased the destructive force of the coming blast to a point beyond imagination.

Peirce sent a simple order to all ships: "Run!"

In the hopes of beating the wave, The Hercules and the Alliance fleet, pushed their engines beyond the maximum limits... and ran for the Valley of the Titans - in the hopes that the asteroid field could slow the wave's advance...

Fewer than 300 ships, Civilian and military alike made it to the valley. The shock wave destroyed everything in it's wake - planets, stars, nebulas all were decimated by the massive explosion. While the final count is largely unknown, the best estimate is: more than 200 trillion intelligent beings were decimated - including the Hadin...

By some odd luck, a mysterious energy barrier which binds the Valley of the Titans together, dissipated the surge, preventing the destructive force of the blast from endangering the peoples on the other side.

The Alliance struggled to rebuild after The Purge, Having 3000 more mouths to feed on Terra proved difficult, and with only a fraction of the entire Alliance fleet still in tact, defending the borders became nearly impossible. For more than 25 years, the Alliance has struggled to rebuild - facing rebellion, raiders, and forces yet unknown, the last hope of the Alliance rests on the shoulders of the last remaining founding member...
