The Accobar System has suffered a long and dangerous past, yet still remains considerably out of the spotlight. Whether you're new to the series or fancy a refresher course - it's time for a recap of this asteroid field's known history.

- The Accobar Civilization and the Halkonian Empire compete in a war of unknown proportions.
- Accobarian species name unconfirmed scientists and engineers develop and construct a spatial regulator device on the surface of Accobar III.
- Use of this device forms a rift in subspace far above the planet, allowing for dangerous but controlled long range travel.
- The Accobar Civilization abandons it's home star system and leaves it's planet-side technology buried.
- The Halkonian Empire briefly inhabits the Accobar Systems and attempts to reverse-engineer Accobarian technology when attempts to hijack the regulator fail.
- All trace of the Halkonian Empire vanishes from the galaxy. Both superpowers become shrouded in legend.

- Now under the control of the Romulan Star Empire, the Accobar System becomes a site of archaeological interest.
- Suffering a betrayal resulting in the loss of her family, Subcommander Sel'tar begins to form a breakaway faction known as the Cult of Romulus - on the nearby Delos Prime.
- Governor G'rath of the Verina colony follows through with his inspiration for The Illuminati, with the support of Commodore Venn. They begin plotting their rise to power.
- The Cult of Romulan stage a coup in the Accobar System and take control of an asteroid base in the middle of it's retrofit. Sel'tar begins to seek out it's secrets.
- Towards the end of the decade, the fledgling Illuminati reach out to the Cult of Romulus. G'rath, Venn & Sel'tar mastermind a pseudo Starfleet Intelligence operation.
- Now Head of Starfleet Intelligence, Venn activates Operation: Trojan while the Cult of Romulus begin work on the Daedalus network - weapons of mass destruction.
- Federation and Romulan Governments agree to the intelligence gathering operation in to the C.O.R. Amber Munro is planted on Delos Prime.

- Now in deep cover, Amber Munro works alongside Sel'tar's chief scientists in developing a series of asteroid bases designed as planetary weapons.
- The Asteroid Base in the Accobar System received the designation: Icarus. Light-years away, Sel'tar's command station was designated: Daedalus.
- Unknowingly to most, Venn had already made Sel'tar aware of Munro's identity. The growing threat of the Cult allowed the Illuminati time to prepare.
- In 2372, Munro learnt of Icarus Station in the Accobar System. Upon relaying this information, she signalled for extraction. Venn kept her on Delos Prime.
- By 2374, Sel'tar, having found traces of ancient technology of the surface of the third planet, she informed G'rath that the Cult would retain the Accobar System.
- Choosing to claim Accobar's secrets for the Federation, G'rath instructed Venn to extract Munro and end Operation: Trojan.
- The Dominion War, which had begun the previous year, put the Illuminati's plans on hold far beyond it's conclusion.

Star Trek: Asteroid Base - Season One

- In early 2382, the Federation moved an overwhelming force in to the Tyrella Sector and banished the Cult of Romulus - beyond the Accobar System.
- In mid 2382, Captain Leona Mason, while responding to a distress call in the Accobar System, witnessed the brief appearance of a damaged Starfleet shuttle.
- In 2383, Captain Amber Munro and the crew of the Relentless, manned the refitted Asteroid Base in the system to investigate Sel'tar's Daedalus network.
- Unknown to the crew, Venn had implanted Illuminati agent, Walter Peirce, as the Executive Officer of the newly christened Asteroid Base: Alpha.
- Now serving as Vice President of the Federation, G'rath began plotting his rise to the Presidency and campaigned for increased Starfleet patrols in Tyrella.
- With Sel'tar intent on reclaiming Accobar, against the Illuminati's wishes, they withdrew their support for the Cult. Venn fed Peirce her location.
- Doctor David Rush presented several finds from Accobar III. Including a bracelet-worn piece of technology used for trans-dimensional transport.
- Use of this device scuppered the plans of a second Walter Peirce in an alternate reality - who vowed revenge on his counterparts.
- Sel'tar moved Daedalus Station to the Accobar System for a station-to-station battle against Icarus. With the sacrifice of the Relentless, Icarus won.
- Now having 'located' Sel'tar, Munro and her crew successfully tracked down Daedalus. Starfleet was able to disable the Daedalus network.
- Due to personal suffering inflicted by Sel'tar, Munro executed Sel'tar in front of her command staff. Later that day, Peirce attempted to kill Munro - but failed.

Star Trek: Asteroid Base - Season Two

- With Peirce on the run, Asteroid Base: Alpha began hosting an external science team, working off the surface of Accobar III.
- The science team inadvertently released a nano-virus with plagued the system at the start of the year.
- Venn had Peirce lure Munro off the station long enough to quietly install an Illuminati Commander in the Accobar System.
- Before Ian Campbell arrived on the station, however, Starfleet Commander Matthew West arrived to warn the crew of Operation: Trojan.
- Slowly learning of the Illuminati, a grouping of crew members conspired against Campbell's command of the station. Their actions however, led to his suicide.
- Venn used Campbell's sacrifice, and his influence, to call an inquiry on Earth in to AB: Alpha's crew.
- During the hearing in San Francisco, G'rath made a long awaited move and had Walter Peirce attempt to assassinate the President.
- Although the President survived, he was forced to step down. G'rath was soon sworn in as President of the United Federation of Planets.
- Peirce took his own life shortly after the attack to prevent capture.
- Illuminati forces within Starfleet attempted to capture the crew of AB: Alpha as they fled back to the Accobar System to regroup. They did not succeed.
- When Munro learnt of G'rath's involvement in Operation: Trojan, she became aware of his conspiracy and began grooming her crew to bring him down.
- The father of Munro's daughter, Matthew West, returned to the Accobar System to serve as First Officer. Soon after, Munro's arrest is ordered.
- Choosing to strike first, the crew of AB: Alpha and Starfleet allies aware of the Illuminati, move in on Earth. Through use of a Federation News Network broadcast, G'rath is outed. Venn is killed attempting to storm the USS Athena.

Star Trek: Asteroid Base - Season Three || Star Trek: Asteroid Field - Season One

- President Olivia Taylor is sworn in after G'rath is incarcerated. She pledges to support the science and research mission in the Accobar System.
- Asteroid Base: Alpha is placed under siege by an armada of automated mining platforms. The crew learnt that they were Halkonian in nature.
- The automated drones presented information documenting mineral rights belonging to the Halkonian Empire in the Accobar System.
- Believing the Halkonian Empire to be long gone, the platforms were disabled and analysed. Meanwhile, Pioneer Station was put under construction.
- When word spread of upcoming talks between the Federation and the Star Empire, splinter groups on both sides opposed the planned summit.
- Renee Hampton was picked from Taylor's staff to head up Pioneer Station's Starfleet / Civilian team of research and diplomacy.
- Commander Mark Chaplain began serving as the senior officer aboard Pioneer - under Amber Munro's supervision.
- Jemma Etis became aware of an alien figure known as Denara Clarke - who delivered a warning to her about Pioneer and Accobar's future.
- When numerous references to Clarke were linked, it was strongly believed that she was a member of the Accobarian Civilization which left the system long ago.
- Despite interference from protesting groups, the Romulan Summit was held aboard Pioneer Station.
- Taylor, Watkins & Hampton sealed several new agreements with the quadrant's superpowers. Including new Klingon mining platforms in the system.
- Remnant Illuminati forces moved to align themselves with the Federation & Romulan dissidents. Starfleet and the Government looked to prevent this.
- G'rath was transferred to the Accobar System to flush out the rebels. However, his escape plan was already well orchestrated.
- Using Pioneer's weapons, he destroyed AB: Alpha's Operations Centre, killing Sion Bryn, and fled aboard Illuminati ships.
- Munro used the USS Athena to track down G'rath to his command ship. The Athena was destroyed. Munro used the Accobar bracelet to escape - presumed dead.
- Melia Clarke, a mysterious figure believed to be a member of the Accobarian civilization, appeared aboard Pioneer Station and offered to help them.
- She took an interest in the Hobus Star while assisting the crew in connecting to the spatial regulator on Accobar III. But it was all something of a ruse.
- When the device was activated, Clarke used it to transport Asteroid Base: Alpha away and stole a D'ni power crystal in the process.
- A coordinated strike led to Federation-One being captured by G'rath and simultaneously Renee Hampton was taken hostage by Walter Peirce from an alternate reality.
- Mark Chaplain was forced to choose between Olivia Taylor and Renee Hampton on a live hijacked FNN broadcast. He failed to choose and Hampton was shot.

Star Trek: Asteroid Field - Season Two

- Nine weeks after Olivia Taylor was rescued and Renee Hampton was supposedly killed, Illuminati whistle-blower Ryan Burke revealed the truth to Chaplain.
- Burke led Chaplain, the crew, and a large Starfleet task force to G'rath's home colony of Verina. His final stand was met with the arrival of a Federation alliance fleet.
- Backed in to a corner, G'rath fled to the surface, under the protection of the serving Governor. However, Amber Munro revealed her survival - already on the surface.
- Munro tracked G'rath down and took revenge for the sixteen year role she played in his long game. Munro killed G'rath and disposed of the body.
- After President Taylor talked down the Governor, Chaplain led an away team to the surface and recovered an imprisoned Renee Hampton.
- With G'rath's demise being ruled as a suicide, Munro revealed herself to Starfleet to assist in tracking down Asteroid Base: Alpha from the Accobarians.
- Accessing the spatial regulator by means of an alien interface recovered from Accobar III in 2384, Munro and Chaplain took the Hera through the rift.
- The Hera arrived in the middle of what the crew believed to be an oddly bustling and commercial Accobarian empire. However, a trap was soon sprung.
- On locating Asteroid Base: Alpha, the residents of the space-bound empire became hostile towards the crew - as ordered by Denara Clarke.
- The crew was able to escape with the station, but not before David Rush appeared aboard a stolen shuttle to warn the crew that they were in Halkonian space.
- Instead of fleeing with the Hera, Rush took his shuttle deeper in to Halkonian territory. The Hera left with AB: Alpha back through the rift. The crew were safe.
- During the remainder of the year, Pioneer became aware that the nano-virus encountered in 2383 and 2384 was back in the Tyrella Sector.
- Soon, an outbreak was upon the sector and Starfleet raced to develop a solution - under Tim Rogan's coordination. But when they came close, disaster struck.
- An explosive was smuggled on to Pioneer Station and was detonated within Sickbay - with most of the senior staff, and their officers, inside the sealed room.
- Kyle Mitchell and Thomas Ford were killed instantly, while Mark Chaplain sacrificed himself to prevent Pioneer's infection - while also testing a cure.
- With the nano-virus contained, Amber Munro and a fellow Starfleet Intelligence Operative, Kensi Shaw, were dispatched to locate the origins.
- Back on Pioneer, the search for a new Station Commander got under-way as Michael Barnes jumped two places to serve as acting Commander.
- Commodore Leona Mason visited Pioneer to help investigate a new Klingon faction known as Red Dawn, who had previously disputed ties with the Federation.
- In early 2387, the alternate Walter Peirce surrendered himself aboard Pioneer Station, but his capture was to remain quiet in return for information.
- Peirce led the crew to learn of Professor Nathaniel Fox's accidental role in G'rath's rise to power, and also confirmed that he set loose the nano-virus.
- During a rescue mission to locate a missing science team in a D'ni age - led by Daniel Thrace - the Chief Science Officer was issued with a warning.
- Thrace was warned that 'the walls had fallen' and that 'they are returning.' This warning was repeated by a trans-dimensional traveller to him.
- When Red Dawn learnt of Peirce's refuge on Pioneer, they moved in to bargain for him. They revealed that they had captured both Munro and Shaw.
- As Barnes deliberated handing Peirce over, Jemma Etis had been swayed to help him be freed - believing he could answer some burning questions.
- Ultimately, Peirce was stopped and handing over to Red Dawn in return for Munro and Shaw. But not before he mentioned Jemma's father.
- The subspace rift showed unusual activity, with David Rush's shuttle briefly reappearing. See: Shattered Reflections (Link)
- New Station Commander Sophia Mason arrived on Pioneer, before the station found itself trapped within an alien containment field.
- When Jemma Etis detected possible cloaked ships, Mason broadcast a message to the asteroid field. Sure enough, over thirty Halkonian ships de-cloaked.
- Led by Denara Clarke and the so-called 'Shattered Sun Legion' - the Halkonians believed that the Accobarian Civilization were preparing to return.
- In order to prevent that, they intended to destroy the Accobar Star. Through the rift came a vessel powered by the stolen D'ni power crystal.
- Knowing it's capabilities, Pioneer rushed to find a solution before the ship reached the star. Etis presented the holy grail of ideas to stop them.
- Using the alien (Accobarian) interface, Pioneer activated dormant defensive and offensive technology throughout the asteroid field.
- This proved enough to destabilise the containment field and threw the Halkonian ships in to disarray. Clarke and surviving ships fled to places unknown.
- At this point, the subspace rift opened fully, tearing Asteroid Base: Alpha apart. Through it, an enormous and majestic alien ship soared in to view.
- Professor Fox confirmed that it could only be an Accobarian vessel. It shot across the system and recovered the D'ni powered ship before it reached the star.
- Before Mason could attempt to contact it, the ship retreated back through the rift - disabling their interface and seemingly sealing the rift for good.
- As Pioneer restored contact with the outside world, the station was flooded with warnings.
- The Hobus Star had gone supernova - and Romulus had been destroyed.

Star Trek: Asteroid Field - Season Three

- Following the supernova, Starfleet ordered all available ships across the Neutral Zone to provide aid.
- Pioneer Station served as a rally point for a task force briefly led by Sophia Mason. Upon crossing the border, the convoy was attacked by the Narada.
- Despite escaping, the Hera discovered that a medical frigate was left behind. On returning to Pioneer, Mason was determined to recover the missing ship.
- En-route to the frigate's last known location, the Hera encountered a cloaked minefield - with Ferengi acquaintance Gaila caught in the centre.
- When freed, Gaila passed on information of the frigate to the crew. On arriving at it's coordinates, the Hera was forced in to Gray Mode as a Klingon armada passed through.
- After cautious waiting, the crew eventually boarded the seemingly abandoned frigate - Aletheia. Once there, the away team was exposed to an undetected pathogen in the air.
- Dark corners of the team's personality were brought to the surface, and a number of secrets were revealed. Mason hinted at a Telosian royal heritage to Etis.
- Aboard the ship, Mason recovered a security case from one of the Starfleet cargo containers. It belonged to Walter Peirce - and had originally been stolen by the Klingons.
- When back on Pioneer, the station detected a fleet of Romulan civilian vessels approaching the system. Starfleet ordered a blockade to be formed in the Accobar System as the political ramifications were fought over.
- Mason, having thought over the actions of her predecessors, announced that she would not prevent the Romulan refugees from approaching Pioneer.
- In an address to the station, Mason offered Pioneer's services and facilities to anybody who required them - for as long as they could require them. Starfleet's response remains unknown....
