With the Khitomer Accords in place for the last seventeen years, the Federation has enjoyed a long respite from conflict with other galactic powers. Free from interference by the Klingon Empire, Starfleet's mission of exploration is beginning to expand into the depths of the Beta Quadrant.

The U.S.S. Geronimo is the flagship of Starfleet's second expeditionary force, helping pave the way to scientific discovery. What kind of wonders and perils await them in this uncharted region of space?

The Lost Era is different from your typical series. Instead of taking a direct role in the form of a character, I, the writer, will embody the universe around the ship. Similar to a tabletop RPG, I will be feeding players information about their surroundings, and their choices will define the outcome of the series.

No story information will be revealed to you in advance. Instead, you must think and react to the universe around you as events are occurring.

Warp drive isn't instant. The Lost Era takes place in a universe, and everything is scaled appropriately. There will be travel time between destinations that varies depending on warp speed, putting a large focus on character development and interaction.

There are many possible outcomes to each event your character is faced with. The actions of the universe around you will have different results depending on your reaction, and those consequences do extend to death. Everyone in this series is expendable.
