Welcome to Phase 1 of my plan to revitalize the Non-Trek Division and start to get the gaming flowing!
Before i can do any work on organizing events or raids i have to know what our existing playerbase plays.
I unforunately can't add every single relevant game into a poll as i'm bound to forget some.
TLO can host servers for games that don't use e.g. Steam for multiplayer, provided there's enough interest.
So i'm asking you, which games are you playing right now?
Please post below!
These are some games that I've played that I think the community would be interested in. I don't play all of them actively at the moment, but I'd be willing to invest more time if other people here wanted to try it.
Free-to-play games with their own server infrastructure:•
City of Heroes: Homecoming (https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php)•
Destiny 2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1085660/Destiny_2/)•
The Orville: Interactive Fan Experience (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1096200/The_Orville__Interactive_Fan_Experience/)•
Warframe (https://store.steampowered.com/app/230410/Warframe/)Free-to-play games that would require a resource commitment for our own server(s):•
GoldenEye: Source (5.0.6) (https://www.moddb.com/mods/goldeneye-source)•
Halo Online "ElDewrito 0.6.1" (https://www.reddit.com/r/HaloOnline/)Premium games with their own server infrastructure:•
Deep Rock Galactic (https://store.steampowered.com/app/548430/Deep_Rock_Galactic/)•
Grand Theft Auto V (https://store.steampowered.com/app/271590/Grand_Theft_Auto_V/)•
Monster Hunter: World (https://store.steampowered.com/app/582010/MONSTER_HUNTER_WORLD/)•
No Man's Sky (https://store.steampowered.com/app/275850/No_Mans_Sky/)•
PULSAR: Lost Colony (https://store.steampowered.com/app/252870/PULSAR_Lost_Colony/)•
Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion (https://store.steampowered.com/app/204880/Sins_of_a_Solar_Empire_Rebellion/)•
Tabletop Simulator (https://store.steampowered.com/app/286160/Tabletop_Simulator/)Premium games that would require a resource commitment for our own server(s):•
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch (https://store.steampowered.com/app/320/HalfLife_2_Deathmatch/)•
Grand Theft Auto V "FiveM" (https://fivem.net/)•
Left 4 Dead 2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/550/Left_4_Dead_2/)•
Natural Selection 2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/4920/Natural_Selection_2/)_____________________________________________________
Because of their common backend, we would theoretically be able to run a server that regularly rotates between
GoldenEye: Source,
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch,
Left 4 Dead 2, and any other Source engine game we'd be willing to support. I think that would be the most cost-effective investment.

Things I've been playing recently:
TERA - Been dipping back in after having not touched for a while. Not sure if I'm going to stick with it, but I like the feel of the combat.
PlanetSide 2 - Another one from my back catalogue that's made an appearance recently.
Destiny 2 - Thought I'd give this a try. First foray into the franchise - enjoying it, although haven't a clue what's going on.
PULSAR: Lost Colony - Had a few games of this, and had some fun.
DCS World - Pushing over to simulator rather than game, and not the friendliest of titles to beginners, but if others have copies I'm sure we could engineer something interesting.
Arma 3 - Similar to the above, to an extent, although I've got rather more experience with it (still not particularly skilled, though...).
World of Warships - OK, not actually played this one recently. Thought about playing it though. Sometimes gets a bit dull, but I've enjoyed short bursts.
Holdfast: Nations At War - Another one that I've not actually played recently, but its entertaining. Bit rough in places, at least the last time I played, but I'd certainly be up for playing again.
Some what I've been playing recently, and/or what I'd like to see here.
Hearts of Iron IV
Grand Theft Auto V
Stellaris
Pulsar: Lost Colony
I've been playing a lot of Elite Dangerous recently along with some Space Engineers & Minecraft.
On a technical note, depending on the game server requirements, we may be able to host a lot of the games suggested (that need a server) without spending any extra money as we have space available on our two servers still.
Minecraft with a mod pack which has lots of marble is all I need back in my life.
Any decisions for Phase 2?
Update the Minecraft server for ill Grizz.
I think a vanilla Minecraft with some plugins and such would be fun, I'm personally not too into modded minecraft despite that it could be fun, I don't know, never really played much modded MC apart from few occasions. Mining and building big houses is what I enjoy.
