Production Code: 3x04
Episode Title: "Tabula Rasa"
Writer: Grizz
Air Date: 22nd February 2014

Determined to make a fresh start aboard Pioneer Station, Captain Mason prepares to deliver an inaugural address as the Accobar System welcomes back it's expanded population. Mason intends to use the speech to cement her new position as Commanding Officer after a turbulent week. However, the festivities on the Promenade are delayed by an unorthodox disturbance in Engineering, a mining platform dispute and the grand second re-opening of The Outer Space Bar - hosted by returning proprietor, Gaila. All the while, developments with the Hobus crisis lead to an advancing refugee fleet descending on the system, with Starfleet prepared to halt their sudden advance - but how will Pioneer respond?

Additionally, how will Jemma Etis react upon discovering that the revelatory briefcase, belonging to Walter Peirce, is back aboard the station?

Hang on, surely Gaila should be in the brig, rather than opening another bar?

Unfortunately for all involved, Hampton cut him loose to protect diplomatic relations in 2385.

An Introduction to...

The third season roots itself back to Pioneer Station for the fourth episode as the Romulan crisis begins to seep across in to Federation Space. The flags of both these great space empires have flown in the Promenade since the station's opening and yet even the Taylor Peace Agreement wasn't enough to truly bridge the divide between both sides. Even the treaty signing itself was harmed by the broken promise of delivering the Accobar System back in to Romulan hands at the dissolution of the Cult of Romulus. Don't worry - I hadn't forgotten that Renee Hampton only bought Starfleet so much time in Season One before that deal would come back to haunt them. But in what way this is revisited - you will just have to wait and see.

This episode loosely revolves around cementing Mason in the same position as Munro, Hampton & Chaplain before her - drawing comparisons to her predecessors while attempting to prepare an address she is set to give on the Promenade as Pioneer welcomes back it's general populous since the evacuation in Season Two. This address does occur at the end of episode, but getting there is a journey in itself. We have an update on the explosive chain reaction sweeping the quadrant. We have the refugee fleet foreshadowed by Swan & Thrace on approach to Accobar - with politics and military intervention halting their advance. We have a situation in Engineering to truly give Chief Engineer McClintock a warm welcome. All the while, I'm sure many of the crew will be delighted to see Gaila back on board after a two year absence!

After laying the groundwork in Asteroid Base and Asteroid Field Season One, the Accobar System was repeatedly knocked down again and again throughout the second season. As highlighted in the recent anniversary special, it has come a long way since the Dauntless warped in to approach a desolate asteroid field. With the mysteries of an ancient war inciting new visitors and the return of the Klingon and Ferengi delegations to the station and the surrounding platforms - Accobar is rebuilding itself and rising from the Illuminati/Nano-Virus/Hobus ashes.

This is where it begins.

A good RP plot, but it did have one flaw.

Actions can be overlooked by other members when they're dealing with separate things. I am sure this could have been handled at the time. Hell, my own have been missed on numerous occasions. However, I don't have the luxury of leaving mid-RP   ^-^

I hope this does not  deter you from future appearances.

They managed to respond to actions before and after by other rp members. By that I mean quite literally just before and just after!
Plus it was that member of the rp that had asked me to do the task in the first place so there was no excuse for being undermined in this way. If I had gone off and done it by myself with no prompting then I would have looked over this matter as simply being missed in the chat.

These things just happen. It has happened to many people. We're not perfect. It can be annoying when it happens, yes - but it need not be taken as a personal insult. Nobody is going out of their way to undermine other players - it's all just a bit of fun. If you truly believe it was worth quitting the game over, then please understand that it could happen any week.

Indeed, these things happen. Sometimes when people are talking all trough eachtoher, even with the console down, messages are missed. It happens to me aswell. Everyone tries to keep an eye out on things said to them, but sometimes it just goes a bit wrong. I always have that problem when people have the same colored rank and rank length (Say ACSO and ACMO), sometimes i just dont see who said what untill i focus and re-read the name, which sometimes is quite hard if people are saying things rapidly after eachtoher.

Anyway, yeah, it happens, if you think someone else misunderstood or not heard you at all, PM them, the purple color always stands out and grabs their attention and you can  resolve the miscommunication.
