Hello everyone,
Since TLO's founding almost four years ago, I have served as the leader of The Last Outpost. It's been a wonderful and rewarding experience to see this community which I and others helped build up become so successful. None of us in 2010 had any idea that TLO would grow to become the community that it is today, and I'm honored to have been a part in making these changes happen.
The time has come however, for me to pass the torch to someone else and retire as President of TLO. As many of you have noticed, my time has become increasingly limited, and I am no longer active in any of our games. One of the reasons TLO was formed those years ago was because the leader of another group was very inactive and had no idea what was going on in-game and wasn't able to appropriately address the concerns of the community. I do not want the same thing to happen here, and recognizing the fact that I simply have no more time to maintain a decent level of activity in game, I have concluded that it is time for me to step aside.
I will continue to remain on board as president until a new president is elected. The elections will begin soon and I am currently working with Lipton on an election timetable which he will finalize and post soon (I think tentatively nominations will open around the 25th). I will be pushing to see the Presidential elections last longer than our standard cabinet elections, with the goal of having transition happening to the new President occur on or around our 4th year anniversary (July 10th). This will give the community time to vet presidential candidates and allow ample time for Q&A time for candidates to present their platform and answer questions about their platform from the community.
I would encourage anyone interested who meets the requirements to run for president and who has the time to consider putting their name forward when nominations open. Although being president is very time-demanding and a lot of responsibilities are always on your plate, it's a very rewarding experience which gives you a unique opportunity to shape the future of this community. If you have a vision for taking this community into "the next stage", I would strongly encourage you to run!
Although I will be retiring as President, I will still be around in the community even though my activity will be much more limited. I hope to still pop into RPG-X from time to time, and add my two cents to important Cabinet discussions. I will also be around to assist whoever is elected the next President of TLO transition into that role for as long as requested.
Finally, I'd like to thank you all for your support and hard work over these many years. Without you all, this vision could never have become a reality. I am very proud of what TLO has become, and I am very proud that I could play a role in shaping it. It is hard for me to take this step, but all good things must come to an end. I, for one, would like to take this opportunity to thank Jenson for his amazing dedication and all the hard work he has tirelessly put in to making TLO the fantastic community it is today!
I only met you a couple of days ago. But I would like to thank you for building what seems to be an amazing fleet that I am glad to be a part of. I would also like to thank you for your walm welcome to The Last Outpost.

Thanks to Jenson, TLO is so much more than just a fleet.
I would like to say that Jenson will be missed since he helped me for the past year or so I would like to thank him for that,
But when he is gone as a former President things will never be the same ever again without him :'(
I wish Jenson a good life in the real world and hopefully to hear from him from time to time!

I probably wouldn't be here if it was not for Jenson, so I now - as ever - thank him for his service to this group, and the RPG-X community at large.
Thank you for all the hard work you put into TLO over the past 4 years Jenson. You where really one of the people who made this all possible and I'm happy to have played besides you in our games and see your dedication towards the group all this time.
Its a well deserved retirement and I think your successor will have pretty big shoes to fill so I also wish him/her much success and hope TLO will continue on the course it has been going on for the last few years and stay the community we all know and love.

Without Jenson, TLO would not be anywhere near where it is today. Jenson has done more than merely shape TLO, but propel it forward as the driving force of our community.

An amazing example of leadership, loyalty, and humbleness. Jenson has truly helped in building such a great community that stands as an example for many to follow and be inspired. The best part is, you will still be a part of TLO with your presence from time to time and will never be forgotten. Thank you for the opportunity in helping create a great community over the four years as not only President, but also an admiral person. On behalf of all TLO STO players, thank you for the hope and support. Look forward in seeing you on STO from time to time too. I believe We should create a holiday on TLO called "President Jenson Day" in order to continue honoring Jenson for all his work during the four years of TLO history. We will continue on this great voyage and TLO will live on for many more years to come (Im thinking many more years to come for sure).
Our next elected President has to not only be one of strong moral standard, but also have qualities: Fair, consistent, and understanding. A sense of dedication and love for our TLO community... An individual that will do his or her best with passion and fun. Someone who is an individual and confident to not just lead, but also guide and listen to The TLO People.

As a brief correction, I misspoke when I noted that nominations for President will be opening this Wednesday. Tentatively, the schedule seems to have them opening up around Wednesday, June 25th (next Wed). I believe Lipton will be posting an election schedule sometime later this week once things are finalized so everyone has an idea of how things will flow.

I thought I should emerge from the shadows for a moment to say thank you. Jenson, you helped to build an amazing community of folks which, incredibly, stands tall today. You were always someone I looked up to, and I wish you the best of luck in life!
