Six years since the pilot episode, "Reflections," the RPG-X community is invited to return to the Accobar System for a special celebratory event - on the 100th episodic roleplay in the established multiverse.
The original USS Relentless, manned by her original crew, heading towards the bare and empty asteroid field which will soon become their home on the edge of Federation space. There is nothing to resemble Asteroid Base: Alpha we know it. There is no Pioneer Station in orbit of the third planet. There are no passing commerce and trade ships. No research outposts or archaeological dig sites and no Klingon mining platforms.
The year is 2383... and moments before the series began, before Captain Amber Munro would order her staff to beam aboard the fabled station... the Relentless vanished. What happened next is a conglomeration of the legacy of the Accobar System - past, present and future. All roads lead here and there is only one way back.

An Introduction to "Scattered Reflections" by Grizz
When the Asteroid Base maps were pulled from use with RPG-X, this time last year (http://www.last-outpost.net/forum/index.php/topic,4511.0.html), I never could have imagined that we would still have reached this point. Until Griffiths convinced me that the Accobar System could rise again, I was resigned to letting go for a second time. It has been a long year for the Asteroid Field Serial Roleplay, but Asteroid Base lives on - even if under a different name. So over the last few months, I have openly posed the question of how to celebrate the milestone. One hundred serial roleplay episodes, numerous spin-offs, three novels and six years in a rather cramped multiverse. I had decided to tackle it from multiple angles.
Firstly, I wanted to provide closure for the original series which ended abruptly in 2009. Through the crossover character of Roxanne Swan, I have been able to indirectly resolve the infamous Season 5 cliffhanger. Secondly, I wanted to bridge both series in a more direct way. The space-time rift, at the heart of the Accobar System, has been present in both incarnations of Asteroid Base (later, Field) and now it is the conduit for this anniversary special.
I fear I have been too ambitious in the scope of this special. I have invited former members, writers & producers to return to the Accobar System as it's past, present and future collide as a result of Daniel Thrace's attempt to seal subspace fractures across the asteroid field. It's a tribute to the Accobar System's legacy. I'm taking the original crew from 2383, and showing them the result of their assignment to Asteroid Base: Alpha. On top of which, I'm bringing together multiple eras of the series in what I hope to be a fitting celebration of it's characters and members. On two occasions I have been left feeling that I took what we have for granted.
This is my thank you, to anybody and everybody who has been involved in creating the star system with the most mind-bending mythology known to RPG-X. Will it pay off? Will anybody show up? Time will tell... but rest assured that they were all be paid tribute to regardless of actual appearances. That includes you. Yes, you. Just wait and see! I'm not saying much more than what's in the episode description, am I? What would be the fun in that?

All we need is some spare uniforms, some wigs and a group of low paid actors to run past the camera now and again with their faces hidden! :)
