So the ships you've downloaded should have come in .zip or .rar files. If the file type is one of those, extract it with a program of your choice (I use WinRar (http://rarlabs.com/)), and then copy the .pk3 files within the archives to [your install directory]\BaseEF (by default, the install directory is C:\Program Files\The Last Outpost RPG-X Complete Edition).

If the file is just a .pk3, just copy it to that BaseEF directory.

Once you've done that, you should be able to load up whatever maps you've installed. Note that some files have dependencies (require other files), so make sure you have whichever ones you need.

Let me know if you have any more issues.

For Regular Maps that do not require RPGXEF.
1) Open Downloaded File and Open RPGXCE directory
2) Navigate to RPG-X2 Folder
3) Extract .pk3 files from the downloaded Zip/RAR/7z file to RPG-X2.
4) Done!. You're ready to play the map, providing you have all of its prerequisites.

For RPGXEF Maps (E.g. Atlantis, Valderbilt)
1) Same as above
2) Open rpgxEF
2) Open RPG-X2 inside of the above folder
3) Same as Step 3 above.

Most SRP's now use the RPGXEF server now so your best of adding maps to the RPGX directory. If an SRP uses the regular server, then by all means install them there too.

For Skins, Music and Rank/Class Sets
1) Same as Step 1 for Maps
2) Open BaseEF in the RPGXCE Directory
3) Extract the .pk3 file here
4) Done!.
