The Last Outpost

In 2268, the Constitution Class warship ISS Defiant was investigating the source of a distress call near the Tholian sector of the Terran Empire.

The Distress call was a trap, and the Defiant was lost through a temporal portal, emerging powerless and surrounded by a Tholian web in an "unfamiliar" Universe.

The Tholians killed the crew, and captured this ship to study and augment their technology with this ship from the future.

A Blackops branch of Starfleet Intelligence has uncovered data and reliable sources which has intrigued and terrified the higher brass. As such, a small commando raid, lead by these Blackops operators has been authorized to infiltrate, and secure the ISS Defiant from the hands to the Tholians.

But this time, instead of a "normal" ship passing through to the Mirror Universe, it's the other way around...

So how will these Blackops people handle the responsibility of this ship? - we'll find out!

I for certain need 2 special roles.

I need someone to play the Mysterious Benefactor that we saw around mid-season last season. and I need another person to take on the mantle of the evil Dr. Sylis.

Also, as you may have determined, we'll all be portraying people on this blackops mission. During this time, our Daedalus Characters are making their way back to earth from their Bajor trip, and the MACOS are settling in on their new outpost. So think up a "completely disposable" character :P. We'll use our normal Daedalus positions (with some possible changes as required).

Right, so here's the poop,

Saturday, at 13:30 est, I have been asked to take part in a performance for a group of shut-ins at a local nursing home.

As such, obviously I can't be in two places at once, so I'll need to push Daedalus back another week.

well, hell must have frozen over - this episode finally aired! (Though no where near the quality of the original story I wrote...)
