Post by: John Conner on July 14, 2014, 06:11:48 PM
I'm Running RPG-XCE and I cannot find the server or even how to get on only one that comes up is UFP, so I uninstalled it so there is no more RPG-XCE on my laptop and now downloaded RPG-XUE and when I go to install it, its asking me for a disk and I don't have any disk I downloaded the RPG-XUE right of this site..... I'm at a halt now but would get more actively involve with everyone hear if I could get help with this I am not very technically smart no more, I remember 3 years ago this was really simple..... :sadno:

Can you give us a screenshot?

Is it asking you which hard drive to install to? The RPG-XUE installer 100% will not ask you for any CD.

As the person who programmed the installer, there is no CD key verification coded into it. It's literally impossible for it to be asking you for serial verification. You must be confusing it with something else.

It states in the beginning its is RPG-XUE version 1.2 that it installs for and when you go further on it says the paths are incorrect and files cannot be found and it asks me to locate the files or put a disk in

Do you have the two .bin files that come with the installer in the same directory as the installer .exe itself? If you don't, you will get that error. If you don't have those files, then you have to redownload the package, as your download was incomplete.

Probably didn't get them if that's the case , your saying its basically a hit or miss in the download? ill try again I did not think this would happen.

You may have inadvertently moved some of the files or gotten an incomplete download. Just download it again and you should be fine.

Upload a copy of your hmconfig and I'll fix it.

You can find it in the RPG-X2 folder.

Slight correction

browse to

C:\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\stvef\RPG-X2

and find hmconfig.cfg. Once you have it, email it to me/send it on skype/upload it to a reply and I will fix it for you.

If you can't find the AppData folder, go to control panel, then folder options and check "Show hidden files and folders"
