The Last Outpost

We're coming up on 22 days since the last contact with Daedalus.

Valkyrie has emptied most of the Daedalus crew onto Nova, the few who remained on Valkyrie volunteered to help the understaffed vessel, as much as they can.

The MACOS are heading out to help another Dropship, presumably escorting a Cargo ship from the Earth Cargo Service - possibly full of terrified Civilians, trapped behind the line after the recent push of the Romulans.

Meanwhile, Nova is heading back toward Daedalus's supposed rendezvous point - a planet 10 light years behind the Romulan line. What they'll uncover when they arrive would baffle even the most knowledgeable Quantum Physicists in Starfleet...

Right - a few quick notes:

Note number 1:

I believe Stringtheorist, Jdesro-23, And myself (though I already have a secondary character) all need to take on a secondary role just for this episode - as our primary, usual characters are among the Daedalus crew, and not on Nova.

The rest of us (On the Roster) - all of our characters are onboard :). This will serve as part one of your introductions - so please feel free to start thinking about who your characters are - and don't hesitate to write about it here: https://last-outpost.net/forum/index.php/board,410.0.html

Note Number 2: The Map that I'll be releasing sometime this week will be in a VERY rough stage compared to how I want it to be. I'd call it a very early Alpha... that said, expect frequent updates as we go on...

Note 3: A brief backstory of Nova:

NV-26 Nova is a freshly built Intrepid-type starship slightly redesigned and repurposed for the war. (All as a part of an effort to build ships quickly, not perfectly)

Nova boasts a Warp 5 Engine, however she doesn't possess the structural integrity to be able to achieve such speeds, and as such she is limited to a smooth Warp 3.5

The Additional power from the Engine has been delegated largely to the defense systems. Two High Yield Heavy Phase Cannons, a full Arsenal of Photonic Torpedo's and a reverse engineered Andorian Shield Generator all benefit from the excess power.

Nova herself was captained by Admiral Richard Gardner's most recent aid, Captain Rachel Garren - who, sadly passed away due to injuries received during the battle of Andoria.

Captain Garren, however, brought a crew full of young, fresh academy cadets onboard. Hoping to get a chance to shape them up before hitting the frontline; this however didn't prove the case. Immediately after a short shakedown cruise to Vulcan, Nova was called into service by Commodore Nolan, and ordered to rendezvous with Taskforce Sierra in preparation for the Defense of Andoria.

In short, Nova has been out of Space dock for little more than a month... and most of the crew isn't much older...

While the Confirming Committee has now been confirmed, the hearing of confirmation of your confirmation to confirm is yet to be held. As such, your confirming confirmation remains formally unconfirmed.

With 18, of the 60 stranded Daedalus Crewmembers brought onboard.... The Subspace Rupture became increasingly Violent.

After destroying the Transporter Controls, Nova made a run for it.

Only after Returning to the Bridge, did Commander Johnson realize the extent of the situation. Planet New Haven has been obliterated...

To save 18 lives - Nova sent 6045 lives to their deaths...

1000 - The Chitari Tribesmen from the time Daedalus Crashed
45 - Daedalus Crew left behind
5000 - Colony
Countless others who could have been born during the lifecycle of New Haven

today's episode was great especially at the end with deciding between saving the crew or the population of new haven so I had a lot of fun with it.
