Alright, so, I recently just got back to TLO and I had to redownload everything since I have a new computer. I'm not sure if something happened while I was gone, but everything seems different.
1. The dropdown thing (I forget what it's called) says Enterprise in the backround. I'm not sure if this was changed purposely or not, but I'm just checking.
2. The phaser is different. Again, not sure if this was purpose or not.
3. The phaser compression rifle has the holodeck texture thing it does where there is no texture for it.
4. RPG-X has been very slow. It might be my router, but I have graphics as low as possible and I'm still getting lag. I have a gaming computer now, so this game should run smoothly. My computer can run STO, which has much better graphics, without a problem.
Thanks in advance.
I think these problems have cropped up as a result of the Normandy Rush and mis-communication. The Phaser and compression rifle problems sound similar to some complaints I heard after I released the Normandy.
Basically, go in your game, and in the Scripts folder, and Textures folder... delete anything that starts with the letters ent_ or ent2. These files are from the nx01 textures, that you don't need.
Then, to re-gain textures for Normandy, Download Belleropheron and the texture pack from there, and BOOM you're done. I hope this helps
Ah, Thanks Klaw. And now that I think of it, I didn't play the game at all before I dowloaded normandy, so this is probably the problem. I'll start deleting stuff right away!
(I'm happy I have something to do, because I was so bored I was watching the academy training videos for no reason...)
Alright, now I completely forget how to get into those folders. I haven't done a lot with this game for about 4 months, so could someone remind me how?
If you are having bad lag, try renaming your executable quake3.exe
New graphics cards have trouble running some older games, so their designers put in special protocols for certain games. Unfortunately, these protocols go by .exe name.

Renaming your .exe does not always help (almost always not i should say). This is a problem with ATI OpenGL drivers since Catlyst version 9. There is, however, a good, quick and working fix for it. I had this problem myself for a while and looked into it and found a permanent fix. Follow the steps below:
1. Download this file: http://www.mediafire.com/?9a6esl4wa6p9ch4 (http://www.mediafire.com/?9a6esl4wa6p9ch4)
2. Go to you mian EF Directory on your harddisk (so NOT BaseEF, but the directory that CONTAINS BaseEF, for example: C:Program FilesRavenStar Trek Voyager Elite Force or if you are using TLO RPG-X Complete Edition: "C:Program FilesThe Last Outpost RPG-X Complete Edition")
3. Copy the .dll file you got in step 1 here.
4. YOUR DONE!
Basically, what this does is, tell your videocard and EF to use THAT, old, OpenGL code library for EF ONLY! This should help all your lagginess and low FPS problems. I've been having the same issues untilli ran across this fix. Hope it helps!
I tried installing that file and inserting it into the file you specified, but I get a error message saying: LoadLibrary failed with error 998: Invalid access to memory location.
Help?
You may need to use ioCow and not the original stvoyhm.exe.

What do you mean?
Are you running RPG-X from an Elite Force install, or from the RPG-X Complete Edition Installer?
Complete Edition. (Sorry, forgot to say that from the start.)
Hmm, that should work then, unless you are using an Nvidia Video card? If so, i can't help you.
No, I've got an AMD Radeon HD 6670 graphics card.
Then it should work. Did you make sure to put the .dll file next to the .exe file you are using?
Also, are you running 32 or 64 bits version of windows?
