The Purge

80 years after the great exodus - which led to the Hadin Occupation of the Realm (including the planets Olympus, Taurus, and the destruction of Eden) - Walter Peirce, The Alliance and her new Allies: the Osirian, The Legion and the Q Continuum and Valkyr, went on the offensive, to retake their homes.

During the Last battle of Olympus, nearly 5 years after the crusade began, The Alliance fleet held their line against a continuing onslaught of Hadin Forces. Seeing an opportunity to strike hard, Peirce and the Hercules went after the last Hadin Command ship, a Normandy Clone....

Mere moments before being able to order the boarding parties to advance... A large vessel of still unknown origin, appears out of slipstream - and begins to fire on the Hadin command ship. As the Hadin powered up their dreadnaught weapon, a chain reaction occurred - which destroyed the ship - and sent a shockwave and debris over to the large unknown craft - which was under siege by the Hercules.

A particle of Antimatter collided with the engine core of the Monstrous vessel. - which, combined with the Hadin explosion in progress, increased the destructive force of the coming blast to a point beyond imagination.

Peirce sent a simple order to all ships: "Run!"

In the hopes of beating the wave, The Hercules and the Alliance fleet, pushed their engines beyond the maximum limits... and ran for the Valley of the Titans - in the hopes that the asteroid field could slow the wave's advance...

Fewer than 300 ships, Civilian and military alike made it to the valley. The shock wave destroyed everything in it's wake - planets, stars, nebulas all were decimated by the massive explosion. While the final count is largely unknown, the best estimate is: more than 200 trillion intelligent beings were decimated - including the Hadin...

By some odd luck, a mysterious energy barrier which binds the Valley of the Titans together, dissipated the surge, preventing the destructive force of the blast from endangering the peoples on the other side.

The Alliance struggled to rebuild after The Purge, Having 3000 more mouths to feed on Terra proved difficult, and with only a fraction of the entire Alliance fleet still in tact, defending the borders became nearly impossible. For more than 25 years, the Alliance has struggled to rebuild - facing rebellion, raiders, and forces yet unknown, the last hope of the Alliance rests on the shoulders of the last remaining founding member...

Valkyr Involvement During and After the Purge

During the Last Battle of Olympus the Valkyr disappointed Alliance commanders by holding their forces back to defend the Asgard Borders. While Valkyr are technically allies of the Alliance the Valkyr maintained their non-interference protocols for the Battle at Olympus. The Valkyr had already predicted an Alliance victory which did not come due to the unforeseen arrival of the unknown ship.

The Only Valkyr that was present at the Battle was Brigadier General Freya Vor of the Hercules whom manned the vessels tactical station. But provided no intel on the Hadin or their fleet size that she knew from her status as a Valkyr Intelligence Officer in the Valkyr Imperial Starfleet.

Instead during the battle the Valkyr placed their fleets along the Asgard border, evacuating their worlds in preperation for the worse. When the explosion and it's following shockwave was detected on their Long Range sensor nets, their fleet's pulled back beyond the Shroud of Loki. When the shockwave was detected, there was not enough time to evacuate them all. The Valkyr with the Assistance of the Suulurians and Q uplifted the entire Asgard civilization and granted them their own worlds in Valkyr Space as Acolytes. It is now believed that the Asgard.

Following the battle and the subsequent destruction of a large area of space, The Valkyr yet again did not interact much with the Alliance. Instead they revoked their uplifting of the Asgard people when they were given new worlds deep within Valkyr borders, each world was meticulously designed to resemble the Asgard worlds, which granted was only 4 planets all within the same system. The Asgard were allowed to keep their memories of what happened which only further boosted their loyalty to the Valkyr as deities, a gift from the gods. A viewpoint that still makes the Valkyr uncomfortable but their sense of duty to the Asgard following their first contact incident continued to allow them to look the other way.

The Valkyr would from time to time send a destroyer or a cruiser to Alliance space and to the remains of systems destroyed in the purge, collecting samples, running scans, and then leaving before any Alliance vessel could enter hailing range. The reasons for this remain unknown. But other than these random appearances, they have been known to occasionally send the odd vessel or two which would conveniently transport much needed supplies on a planet shortly before they would run out. The most recent occurrence was when a Valkyr vessel transported a six month supply of medical supplies moments after the planet reported to Alliance HQ that they were suffering from an outbreak of Osirian Influenza. Many in the Alliance believe the Valkyr feel responsible for what happened and it's their way of helping what they in essence caused.

Another recent occurrence was when the Valkyr waited over twenty years to send important data to the Alliance on a condition two of their generals had which left them in monitored Suspended Animation.

Within Valkyr borders however they've lived in effective luxury while the rest of the galaxy struggles to keep up. Clean cities, no crime, no pollution, fresh air and technology that makes their lives a breeze where the Alliance citizens work for hours on end just to get the necessities. At present the Valkyr borders are closed and a large number of vessels exist as a flotilla filled with refugee's trying to enter Valkyr space. Many are now permanently stuck there after suffering engine damage from the nebula, Shroud of Loki which protects Valkyr Space.

It is estimated that almost 20,000 people live in the flotilla and that number is rapidly rising to the point the flotilla now has it's own culture and life style. Valkyr ships do from time to time bring them supplies but maintain that they can't allow the vessels to enter their borders with the usual cryptic message they broadcast to all vessels, "You are not Ready".

The Valkyr currently maintain an embassy on Terra that they themselves have built and staff with their own people. Currently Ambassador San'graal is assigned to this location.
