Hi all,

For those who have @last-outpost.net email address, has anyone noticed a significant uptick in the amount of spam we're getting? I'm seeing about 60-80 spam messages a day to my veritas@last-outpost.net. Most all of them are marked by our servers as spam before they get forwarded on, and either way Gmail (which is where I forward all my email) catches them.

I realize this could actually be my fault (maybe I've signed up for something dodgy in the past with that email), but in case it isn't, wanted to see if anyone else is having the same problem?

Edit: Looking at our DNS setup (https://intodns.com/last-outpost.net), my guess is that now that we're hosting our own mail server, we have a different filtering policy than we did when we used Microsoft Domains or whichever service we were using before. Maybe that plays a role?

I've not received any spam myself.


60-80 a day is rather alarming though.  I will look into this and attempt to filter it out.  The fact it's being flagged as spam is a good sign at least.  It might be worth me moving the full time filtering up my list of things todo as I'll be able to control it much better at that point.


I will look into this tonight and attempt to get it resolved tonight.

Given that others aren't getting much, there's a definite possibility my TLO email ended up on some list somewhere through some indiscretion of mine. I would say, don't feel compelled to spend too much time on it on my behalf if you don't want to.

I have yet to receive any spam on my @last-outpost.net account, but I'll keep an eye on it. Just in case it is a system thing though we should look into it and see if anything significant comes up.

This should now be resolved.


If you currently have a TLO E-Mail address that forwards to your personal accounts and are receiving spam, please inform me and I will fast track you to the new system, otherwise I will be migrating all forward only addresses to full accounts with a forwarder set on them, over the next few days.


Veritas, as I said in my email, you are now on a this new way and should no longer be receiving spam.
