Title: [RESOLVED] Not All Player Models of Holomatch Loading
Post by: Lipton on January 11, 2018, 12:57:56 AM
Hi there,

Attention old Holomatch and RPG-X hands! Maybe you can help me with a little mystery.

In the holomatch distribution 1.0, some models are not accessible with the change player model list, the add bot list, or the /addbot command. EF simply acts like they do not exist.

From load order (which is reverse alphabetical order), looking at the change player model dialog, ferengi.pk3 is the first model pak that does not get loaded. Is there a limit on how much MB of model data can be loaded at one time into memory? I removed icheb.pk3 and ferengi.pk3 did not load, but when I kept icheb removed and removed mress.pk3 (which is a particularly large pak for just one model), ferengi1 (just the first one of the three in the file) loaded.

I've set my BaseEF module back to default

Is this what the last change player model screen looks like and what the last add bot screen looks like? Note that the add bot screen is a combined list of all loaded models in all paks sorted by alphabetical order of model name, in contrast to the change player model screen which is sorted in load order.

'Vader' is missing for me. Vader should be near the end of the add bot screen there represented by the icon of his head.

I'm wondering if this is a problem just for my machine or if other people are having it. If you could check it out and say whether you are experiencing this or not that would be appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: Serris has found that /model works, even when it does not show up as an icon in either menu. Perhaps there is some sort of artificial limit on the amount of model data or bot code that is addressed by /addbot and the icon menus? Who knows.
