With the handover to Perfect World, talk of Star Trek Online turning free to play has been more vibrant than ever. But now, this video has been published online, showing what appears to be restrictions under the term "Gold Account." Is it real, or fake? Is it simply a bug, or something Cryptic forgot to clean up?

Or, is it the first glance at what could be Star Trek Online's F2P model. Which also poses the question - will The Foundry be a chargeable feature if this takes place?
Until we hear more. You decide.
Well if it's a model with several account levels like in other P2P MMOs that have gone F2P it'll be most likely that Foundry can only be accessed by paying subcribers.
Anyway I don't accept this video to be a prove for anything. Until there is an official announcement of STO going F2P I don't care about any rumors. And even if it goes F2P I rather pay for an gold account than playing on a limited free account.
