A cataclysmic event of unprecedented proportions threatens the safety of the ship, the station, and the entire quadrant.

The Endurance returns to Asteria after a Romulan attack, only for the Hobus star to go supernova and create a vortex of energy that threatens the entire quadrant. Captain Galvano and the crew help evacuate the station's non-essential personnel and stow its valuable infinitum ore and research for transport before a convoy of over two dozen Romulan ships crosses the border and parks outside the station.
