Title: [RESOLVED] HoloMatch Models Conversion
Post by: Finrod852 on February 16, 2017, 06:50:01 PM
Last year I downloaded model files for Kes and the Heretics, but the problem is that they only seem playable in HoloMatch and won't appear in the RPG-X mod. Is there a way to make these characters available in RPG-X?

Sorry for the slow response to this.

Unfortunately I don't have much experience with adding models to the RPG-X client, and by much I mean I've never done it.

I will try and get you an answer this weekend.

Hi there, and welcome to TLO!

I'm not 100% sure but i don't think there is a way to port Holomatch models into RPG-X. I'll check on it but I'm sure this has been asked before and discovered that it wasn't possible (or isn't any longer.)

If it is doable,  it would likely take a fair bit of work to do it.

Mapping I can help with,  modeling is a different monster altogether

I could swear Serris used to make models for TLE. But welcome to TLO

Making new models is possible, converting holomatch models is much more tricky, if it's even possible.

All I did was take existing models, create new textures, and file them under different names. It's like Paris/Kray/Chase, all the same model, but different textures applied.
