As a note, this is to bring The Last Outpost into line with the new GDPR regulations coming out of Europe in regards to how user data is handled by operators. While we aren't 100% certain that we're subject to the regulation, we're certainly better off safe than sorry.
AFAIK, any website that has members that are citizens of EU Member State, are subject to GDPR. Don't quote me on this though.
