Title: Texture issues
Post by: Kaufman on April 01, 2011, 06:38:03 PM
Ok, so here's a brief rundown of my situation: I'm currently using a 1360 x 768 (1.77:1) LCD TV to serve as my monitor since my wife accidentally stepped on my laptop and cracked the screen awhile back. Anyway, since that resolution was not listed on the options screen, I set it to 1024 x 768 to see how that would work. Well, it would seem that it clipped the top half of my chat text off, since it stretched the image to fill the 1360 x 768 screen.

So, after some googling, I found out about autoexec.cfg parameters. I set mine up as follows:

seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customwidth "1680"
seta r_customheight "1050"
seta r_fullscreen "1"
seta r_customaspect "1"
seta cg_fov "90"

Now my problem is that every now and then when I spawn, I'm either in an all-white (no texture) uniform save for the combadge and head and neck area, and/or I don't see the rank images on the tab list, just a white rectangle. A disconnect and reconnect fixes the white model usually but the rank image issue is still somewhat random. I have my rankset set to tlo in the player config screen, but do I need to add something to my autoexec?

Ok I think I got it fixed, I just tell it to run with admin rights.
