Title: SRP Cancelled
Post by: Telex Ferra on September 08, 2013, 01:00:37 PM
I'm sorry everyone, but I can't continue to commit to showing up to my own SRP at the time we all agreed upon if most of the people on the roster aren't going to bother. It's been a good run, but I just don't have the energy to plan episodes, make graphics, and continuously have to nudge people on skype/team/the forums only to get about 40% of the people who said they could make it most of the time. Every episode now starts with aobut half the roster and falls down to a third in the first hour. My co-writer abandoned me without a word; and most of the people on the roster have bailed on me without any sort of explanation or any indication why the SRP wasn't living up to their expectations.

It was a good run, but I think the fate of the Ironman crew and the Zhen'tok, the source of the Etamnanki and the spin-off SRP I had planned will all stay in my head, at least until there's more interest and people are more free to honor their commitments.

This is a big shame. I'd have been there more often, but the time for me wasn't perfect.

I didn't realize Klaw bailed on you? Seems a bit odd to me.

I think what went wrong was consistency. It was as though half way through the story just got twisted. The CO character, Commodore He, was no longer in it, the XO, Klaw, was no longer in it. It seemed, to me, as though it were a different RP altogether.

Since you imply that this has affected yours and others' attendance, it would have been nice to hear a few episodes ago.

I say what I think of episodes, as your Reviews and Critiques ask. I do not interrupt a clearly written out serial by saying "This isn't as good as it used to be, go back to how it was!"

Someday, perhaps even soon, I'd recommend trying FS again, but keeping it consistent throughout.

I'd even be willing to take on the project myself, I think it's a brilliant idea that swayed a bit too much.

Had we completed two more episodes, you would have seen the connection. I don't think you get to judge how much it "swayed" without knowing where the plot was going.

Hey now, claws in everyone.

How about we all just agree its a shame to see a SRP go and leave it at that.

Sad to see this SRP go. I really enjoyed myself the first few episodes. Unfortunately due to household stuff I'm required to do on sundays I could only attend the first 30 min / hour, so I too must take partial blame for this being canceled. I hope that the story will still live on inside your head Telex and perhaps we will see some if it one day in one form or the other. Thanks for bringing this to us on RPG-X.

As I said, it is not my place to tell you what you should do in a clearly written story line. Had it not been cancelled I would have seen how it was connected.

I shall miss this rp alot. It was my first, and it actually seemed cool, and good. It shall forever have a place in my mind for the one episode I was able to partake in.
