Some of our Community Day festivities, including Senate reports and an awards ceremony, are being held on the Freenode IRC network. There are two ways to connect - one for those who have an IRC client such as mIRC or XChat, and one for those who want to connect via webchat.
If you have an IRC client:
Join the network irc.freenode.com (in mIRC, type /server irc.freenode.net). Once you've connected and set your nickname with /nick [your name], join the TLO channel by typing /join ##tlo.
If you are using webchat (http://webchat.freenode.net (http://webchat.freenode.net)):
Enter your desired name in the Nickname field, "##tlo" (no quotes) in the Channel field, leave all other fields blank and enter the CAPTCHA code, then hit Connect. You should automatically enter the TLO room.
IRC help:
Some IRC basics can be found here (//http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/irctutorial.html). If you need additional help, TLO staff will be on standby on MSN and in the #lastoutpost chatroom to help you, as well as here on the forums.
Hope to see you on IRC on May 26th at 5:00 PM EST for the Community Day Awards Ceremony!

As above, any issues, please do not hesitate to contact a TLO staff member who will be happy to assist. See you there.

Updated the channel info; we now have a registered channel, ##tlo.
