Title: Season Two Prequel

Asteroid Base: Alpha

After the attacks on David Rush, Nicole Williams and Amber Munro, the station was placed on high alert. Officers outside of Rush's lab, after hearing the shots, witnessed Lexi Etis activate a device on her wrist and she seemingly transported away. A similar event unfolded outside of the messhall, after Williams called for help - members of the senior staff saw Rogan transport out of the section.

While Rush and Williams were transported to Sickbay, Adria Thomas made it to the ready room after Munro failed to respond to her comm calls. An on-call medical team attended the scene and concerned about a transport, rushed to physically move the stricken Captain to Sickbay. On their way, news filtered through that Williams had been injured, and Rogan had apparently been taken in to custody - despite claiming to be in his quarters at the time of his attack.

The superior medical officer aboard the nearby USS Athena was brought aboard to begin Munro's surgery. Although it was close, her life was saved. She was transported via the Athena to Starbase 215 for further treatment. Lexi Etis was also taken in to custody, after being found in the cargobay. Both Rogan and Etis were without the devices witnesses saw them use to transport away from the scenes of the incidents.

Using internal video playback, Thomas and the remaining staff confirmed that Rogan and Etis were behind the initial attacks, and Walter Peirce was seen fleeing Operations. The devices seen on the former two, were identified as being similar in appearance to the bracelet recovered from Accobar Three, which was used to transport Munro and Rush to an alternate reality. This device was not seen on Peirce. Rogan and Etis' alibis checked out, and it was eventually determined that the two officers that attacked members of the crew were in fact their doppelgängers.

Walter Peirce was never found following sweeps of the station.

Starbase 215

Upon regaining consciousness, Captain Munro was unable to fully recollect the events leading up to and throughout the attack. All she could recall was seeing Colonel Peirce both on her monitor and in the ready room doorway. Munro confirmed that a second face was on her screen, but she could not remember who it was. The data she was examining at the time of the attack had been deleted from a remote location somewhere on the station.

Within days, word spread across the Federation on what had happened in the Tyrella Sector. Now unable to use Munro as his scapegoat, Admiral Wright stepped aside from his position overseeing Asteroid Field Operations in the Accobar System, and was inflicted with a demotion to Commodore. Somehow, he hung on to his position at 215, and monitoring fleet movements in the sector. Munro, however, was named his successor in planning for the future of the area surrounding Asteroid Base: Alpha.

With the coerced backing of Wright, the USS Athena was permanently assigned to the system, and the station's crew.

Accobar Three

The operation of the surface of Accobar Three had been put on hold for the duration of the investigation following the three-fold attack on the station. Upon his recovery, Doctor Rush resumed working with his team, spending the majority of his time on the surface. After months of excavation work, the science teams turned up nothing more of value. But all of that is about to change.

Present Day

As Captain Munro returns to the station following a brief stint at Starbase 215, Rush has also joined the crew to celebrate the end of an eventful 2383, and the arrival of 2384. Lexi Etis and Timothy Rogan have been entirely acquitted, whereas Walter Peirce has been branded a traitor and is still seemingly on the run. On Accobar Three, something is about to happen to ensure the new year is brought in with a bang....
