Post by: Talus Roben on August 10, 2012, 04:13:50 PM
Salutations most glorious members of The Last Outpost.

Once again it is nearly time for everyone's favourite trimonthly occurrence -the TLO Community Day! Community Day is a chance for everyone to get together and celebrate all the things that make our group great and for us the  staff  to thank all of you for your continued support of TLO.

Community Day will be taking place on Saturday 25th August.

As normal you can expect the usual Awards Ceremony and Senate Q & A session on top of a number of great events run by our divisions and sub-divisions.

More details on all these events and more, including those all important event times, will be confirmed and published for your viewing pleasure closer to the date.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible, it should be a great day!

Andzzy and Talus

So here it is, the post you have all been waiting for. The official line up for Community Day!

RPG-X - Shakedown: 1-1:30pm GMT (2-3:30pm BST, 9-10:30am EST)

It's time for the fresh-faced cadets of Starfleet academy to undertake their first training mission aboard a real Starfleet vessel. What's there to worry about? After all it's only a simple run 'round the block'...

Minecraft – Race for Wool: 2:30-4 GMT (3:30-5pm BST, 10:30am-12pm EST)

Two teams will enter, only one will leave victorious! The Minecrafters will be pit against one another in a bid to find and assemble pieces of that most valuble of commodities, wool, in the fastest possible time. This event will be taking place on a specialty map.

Event Break and assorted Teamspeak related shenanigans

STO - The Second Annual STOathon!: 5-7pm GMT (6-8pm BST, 1-3pm EST)

Deep in Borg space, several (not-so) brave starship captains must fight the menace that is the Borg! In this STF-athon, the difficulty is increased, TO ELITE! We will do Infected Space, and Ground. If we have time, maybe even one more... Don't forget to stock up on supplies, get your regenerators, and components ready, because this will be a ride for all of us!

Armada II - On the Edge: 7-8:30pm GMT (8-9:30pm GMT, 3-4:30pm EST)

This new kick-off event for the Armada II subdivision will see the Romulans, Klingons, and Borg thrown into a time where the Federation have been decimated by an unknown force. Can they work together to escape this reality or will they be doomed by their own instincts?

IRC Awards ceremony: 9-11pm GMT (10pm-12am BST, 5-7pm EST)

Our traditional IRC ceremony for the presentation of awards and promotions.

Also, please be aware that various shenanigans and oddities will be occurring throughout all the events on our teamspeak server to enhance you enjoyment of Community Day.

Grizz might even speak again when Griffiths isn't paying attention.

As an extra extra bump, throughout all the events on every game, please join in on TeamSpeak. We ALWAYS have a great deal of fun there, and it's so much easier than typing. xD

Hooray for Community Day August 2012!
