Hello everyone,
The Senate Election process has now begun! All 9 Senate seats will be up for grabs this election. The Senate is the legislative body of TLO, and has the power to create and shape policy in the group. Being a member of the Senate is a unique opportunity to shape the future of TLO and to put your ideas into reality. Members who aren't running for Senate still have the power to shape the future of the group through their votes in elections.
The Senate nomination thread is now open in the wardroom. If you meet the requirements to run and wish to do so, please post your intent to run in that thread.
After nominations have closed, all members will have an opportunity to ask the Senate candidates questions about what their plans are, if elected, and general questions about their track record (all within the bounds of the CoC). After a couple of days have passed, the election poll will go up, and remain open for several days. Runoffs will run as needed.
For more information, check out Executive Order 16 in the Executive Office!
For now, it is my intention to keep the Senate at 9 members. If we get less than 10 candidates, however, I will likely reduce the number of members to 7. That bridge will be crossed if we need to cross it.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Signed,

PS. If you aren't interested in running for Senate, but want to become more involved in another position, the RPG-X CO and the Garry's Mod Sub-Division Coordinator positions are open. Check out the Job Posts sub-forum for more information!
Nominations are now closed. We have 10 candidates running for 9 seats. Q&A topics are now up in the wardroom. All of our members are free to ask candidates any questions you may have. Please make sure to word your questions respectfully and in line within the CoC. Q&A topics will remain up until the final election poll closes. As always, please feel free to direct any questions, comments, or concerns to myself or Gregory House!
The Senate Election poll is now open! TLO members may vote here: http://www.last-outpost.net/forum/index.php/topic,4549.msg33352.html#msg33352 for up to 9 candidates. Members may vote for less than 9 if they show choose. Polls will close Tuesday morning, runoffs will run if needed. Q and A topics will remain open throughout the election process, so if you have questions for our candidates, please ask them!
Voting has now closed, and all of our current Senators have been re-elected. Congratulations to you all! :) Stay tuned for more information about the Speaker election and the new Senate assignments.
