Minotaur are warriors, who have battled adversity for generations. In the early days of Taurus, the Olympian Elite established a colony on Taurus, in the hopes of turning the dull, desert world into an oceanic resort. Having started their project (forming the two lakes on the planet now) they enslaved the Minotaur as a labor force - without the knowledge of King Zeus. When Zeus heard word about the slave trade on Taurus, he armed the Minotaur slaves, and gave them a fighting chance to win their freedom.
The Minotaur never forgot their enslavement, and have vowed to never become slaves again. Several thousand years have passed, and the Planet Taurus still breeds the finest warriors of the realm.
At an early age, Minotaur males are taken and conscripted into service, where they spend the next 12 years of their life in training for the day when they will fight for a chance to meet the "Ones before" - Their Honored Dead.
While the Minotaur are warriors by nature, they have also begun a new occupation as skilled engineers, taking up tools to build and repair ships - they have produced a formidable force of warships that rival all other powers in the realm.
