Can all members please download and install the latest version of the Vanderbilt map here: http://www.stphoenix.de/dldb/index.php?page=Entry&entryID=20
We are unlikely to know until Saturday whether it is more stable than previous versions on the server - so if you are able to connect to the server up to 30 minutes before the RP starts, please do so. Also, please take it upon yourselves to test the map locally so that it is running correctly on your system. A number of members have struggled to get v2 working properly since the change.
This latest build makes a number of aesthetic changes to improve the experience. Deck 19 is no more, though the Promenade remains with several changes - including the loss of Gaila's bar, replaced by a larger establishment. This change will be addressed in-game. We are also able to control Promenade sounds - which is a big plus.
There have been some changes to crew quarters, which may require adapting to. Do not be put off by the new signage around the map, as it has been tailored for another SRP.
Ah, verry nice. I'll be sure to test this out. This is from 2011, is TF still active?
Yep, I've been speaking with him back and forth on the Ubergames forum via PM. The timestamp is when the page was made, not when the download was updated.
Ah i see. Verry nice. It would also be great if he could upload the source of the map somewhere when the time comes that he isn't around anymore.
For all available members, there will be a map test at the usual time. This includes non-AF members. The more, the better. A minimum of 10 would be preferable.
Thank you!
Ill see if i can make it (computer problems) Ive already tested it out on my own server with my friend (hope the /alert blue command could be fixed someday)
Had to pull out - PSU has blown. But if anyone could go ahead and test anyway, ot would be much appreciated. I'll be up and running again on Monday.
I've tested this on my own friday on the server an i couldnt find a button that made the server crash when i pushed it. However, that was with only 1 person on the server, it might behave differently with more people.
Lucas, SFC, and myself were the only ones to show up to test. We had no issues.
Excellent, we know we're fine with postponement level attendance. Thanks for trying ;)
