Title: Having trouble accessing the site? [CLOSED]
Post by: Veritas on March 22, 2014, 08:39:55 PM
Hi all,

Recently, some users have had issues with our new DDoS filtering getting a little overeager and blocking their access to the site for what should be innocuous traffic.

Our host is aware of this and is working on a more permanent fix, but in the meantime, if you are unable to access the site, please do the following:

1. If you can, try to get to the site from another computer or another network
2. Contact me and tell me: what you were doing when you lost access and what other systems you tried to get on from, and your IP address (http://whatismyip.org)

Apologies to anyone who's been inconvenienced. Thanks for your patience.

Veritas

Could this issue also be affecting the servers? Alot of people had quite high ping and where getting parse messages (including myself) all the time during yesterdays SRP.

No, the game servers are operated by different hosts on a different network.

As always, people with connection problems should post and let me know.

Our host informs me that the upstream provider has tweaked the filters and hopefully fixed the issue. If people are still getting blocked, please let me know ASAP.
