Title: The End of rpgxEF 2.2 "Enhanced"
Post by: Telex Ferra on April 18, 2014, 03:52:13 PM
After a meeting with Veritas and Serris, we have decided that the rpgxEF 2.2 server will be upgraded to 2.3 on April 30, 2014. This means that the "enhanced" edition will no longer be in use by TLO.

Most of you do not need to do anything for this as you have already upgraded to 2.3 b4. If you have not upgraded from 2.2 to 2.3, or have not upgraded from 2.3 b2 to the new release from last week, you can find instructions in the RPG-X/Server Information forum.

After April 30, both servers will be running rpgxEF 2.3 Spicy.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them here.

After April 30th, we will only be providing two RPG-X clients, both of which will be running RPG-X 2.3.4B. I will be releasing a 2.3.4B compatibility patch for existing RPG-XCE clients. The RPG-XCE page will be adjusted to reflect this.

The switchover has occurred, and the page has been updated. Any issues with the switch should be directed to the Engineering forum (I'm asking that you post there, rather than contact Serris or myself directly, so that your solutions can help others as well).

Just out of curiosity, where do these names come from? (i.e. "teriyaki", "spicy", etc.?) Do you just name them after your lunch on the day the servers are upgraded? They seem to be getting more and more delicious. :P

I'd like to imagine the servers are 12-packs of wings, like you get at bars.
