Locked in battle in the defense of the Coridan System against an Halkonian raid, the USS Hera breaks off in pursuit of the Orion - Denara Clarke's command cruiser which the crew first encountered in 2387. But unprepared to face the unorthodox tactics which Clarke wields, Captain Mason inadvertently puts the ship on course through a series of ever-worsening challenges - all the while attempting to explain that both Daniel Thrace and the Accobi interface he designed are missing in action.
