It's come time again for TLO to open its arms unto you and issue forth this plea: Although we enjoy providing you with the servers, games and events that you love, there is a cost involved.
Take a look at this fancy little costs breakdown!:
RPG-X Server Hosting (2 severs) @ $10/mo: $120/ year
Web Hosting @ $82.75/semi-annually: $165.50/ year
Domain Name: $12.16/ year
Domain Protections: $2.88/ year
Total Regular Yearly Expenditures: $300.54/ year
Current Budget Reserve: $41.83
TAnd that doesn't include incidental expenditures, or expenditures in the case of an emergency (which we've had in the past).
The Last Outpost doesn't have ads. We don't monetize any of the services we provide in any way. Nobody in the Cabinet gets paid *sniff*. We're here because we love it, and we know you love it too - which is why we're asking now for your help.
Our goal for this drive, which will run from today, January 23rd 2015 to January 30th2015 is $350 USD.

As a note to donaters, you may receive a follow-up e-mail a bit after you donate asking you to confirm that you received the item or your order was processed. I ask you to say that this has been done once you get that e-mail.
Since we transferred TLO's funds to an independent account following Veritas' departure, it's a new account so it's subject to stricter paypal rules until they are sure we're not doing anything bad, so they hold the money until either there's a confirmation you got what you paid for or a few weeks pass.
Unfortunately, even though TLO is non-profit we don't have any legal recognition of being non-profit (that costs a lot of money to get, ironically) so we have to run our paypal account like a business account.

As a side-note, the gross receipts/PayPal fees portion of the treasury is going to be inaccurate due to people contributing in different currencies. PayPal won't log certain international transactions in the treasury and they have to be manually entered, and even though it's entered in their currency it'll calculate it based off of USD which will cause errors :P
Fortunately, the net totals and the percentages used for our donations will be accurate as all "net" money will be manually covered by me into USD.

Any donations we receive above and beyond our goal will be placed into building up our reserve funds for emergencies and special projects that the Cabinet may authorize in the future.
