For the last cabinet meeting, someone proposed that we discuss bringing RPG-X Happy Hour back. I would like to give you all a quick summary of the discussion.
Serris, myself, and the rest of the cabinet members present felt that creating the infrastructure for it was ultimately unnecessary. If you guys want an RPG-X Happy Hour, then you are more than free to select a time that works for all of you and execute it. You have our full support, as long as you don't try to disrupt any other scheduled server events.

I'd like to add to this by giving a bit of history:
The Happy Hour initiative was created to try and draw people to the server during the week by offering incentive in the form of Event Star Points (http://www.last-outpost.net/forum/index.php/topic,5283.0.html). They were awarded based on participation in mid-week Happy Hour events, and having a set number of them was a requirement for pitching a mini-series with its own reserved time slot. Ultimately, based on user feedback we gathered last year, this system was abolished.
Fast forward to today, where
anyone can pitch a series (http://www.last-outpost.net/forum/index.php/topic,31.0.html) or mini-series (http://www.last-outpost.net/forum/index.php/topic,5439.0.html) for consideration at any time. The structure of Happy Hour, as it was, doesn't fit within TLO's current direction for the
RPG-X division. Our current system gives our membership total freedom in putting forward ideas, whether they be seasoned veterans or fresh-faced new players with big ambitions. We don't want to revert back to gating this process behind mandatory attendance of a mid-week time slot that punishes anyone with a normal work schedule. Without doing so, we don't really have a structure for Happy Hour outside of an arbitrary time slot. With that in mind, the
RPG-X division has declined to reinstate Happy Hour.
That being said, members are totally free to organize and advertise their own gatherings on our servers at any time that isn't reserved for a series or mini-series event. If you'd like to inspire more mid-week events, perhaps look into creating a poll and working out convenient time slots with your fellow members. Once you've pinpointed the most convenient time for everyone, announce it with a topic in the Roleplaying Lobby subforum (http://www.last-outpost.net/forum/index.php/board,14.0.html), and advertise your initiative with an accompanying vSlider image (http://www.last-outpost.net/forum/index.php/topic,6848.0.html).
