History:
Not much is known about the enigmatic resident of the Phoenix's kitchen, aside from his exceptional talent for food preparation. When Captain He's crew transferred over from the Geronimo, Hu'susveryn'xar was the only holdover from the Phoenix's original personnel roster. The universal translator system can't interpret his race's speech patterns, but he has no problems understanding others, so he attempts to speak English when interacting with the crew... emphasis on attempts. While he tends to get his point across most of the time, his unusual vernacular requires the other party to pay close attention in order to understand his meaning.
Hu'susveryn'xar is extremely possessive of the kitchen facilities in the mess hall, to the point of becoming physically aggressive on at least one occasion. He does not take kindly to people accessing the galley storage without his direct approval, believing unauthorized use of the lockers to be something of a personal affront. This has resulted in a feud between Hu'susveryn'xar and Ensign Ryu Ozuwara from the science division, as Ensign Ozuwara has been caught hiding contraband liquor in the mess hall without his knowledge.
