01001110 was born in 2251 on the planet Bynar. This was the same year the Captain Christopher Pike took command of the USS Enterprise. As with all Bynar, his parietal lobe replaced by a synaptic processor at his birth and he was bonded with a mate. (Please note that Bynar are genderless and I'm using male pronouns for reference.)
01001110 followed the normal educational program for his race (who remained in permanent education until the age of 25) however when he was 20 (in 2271), 01001110 went on a school trip aboard the USS Yorktown on it's last science expedition before being refitted. This gave him and his partner an ambition to go to Starfleet Academy, they were both highly impressed with the sophistication of the Yorktown's computer, comparable to only their planetary computer in their view.
The trip was successful and also meant that they missed the V'ger occurrence. Yorktown was called to assist the Enterprise is helping all the affected Starfleet posts get back to normal operation, hence the Bynar students were sent back to Bynar on a civilian transport.
Unfortunately, along the way the ship was hit by electromagnetic interference from an unexpected super nova, which also forced the vessel out of warp. This caused damage to the student's synaptic processors and knocked them all out, even kilingl others. It turned out the electromagnetic interference was worse than first predicted and the ship's computer was disabled.
The ship ended up being damaged by part of the super nova remnant, killing most of those on board. The USS Sheffield found the ship several days later. 01001110 was one of the few who survived, however he had suffered brain damage and couldn't remember anything prior to the accident. His partner was one of those killed.
He was taken back to Bynar for a few months but decided to leave the planet to enter Starfleet.

OOC: I did some research and the Bynar aren't mentioned that much in canon (but Starfleet were aware of their existence before 2153 prior to the founding of the Federation- ENT: Regeneration.) Therefore for the purposes of this SRP, I'm taking a bit of artistic license. Their average life expectancy is 250 years, therefore 59 is still quite a young age. I'm also taking into account that according to SCE, it is possible for a single Bynar to live alone if their partner dies.
Died: 2310 Aboard USS Phoenix after a catastrophic crash. 01001110 was blown up twice and thrown against a superheated plasma relay.
