Character Appearance
Sheia stands at 5'9" with a feline head structure, she has blue eyes with slit pupils, golden hair with an average build with slightly slim shoulders. Her legs are longer than her torso but what she lacks for in height, she has in not just agility but also in speed. Sometimes she'll wear prescribed glasses assigned by her planets doctor so she's able to see whilst wearing them but for reading only, aswell as using them for reading and other recreational purposes. She has the average foot size of the same human female of a size 5-6 shoe, sometimes she won't wear boots due to the complexity of her lower leg structure.
Character Background
2136 - Sheia was born on Cait to a Caitian Female and Male, although she was born on this planet, she and her parents moved to Earth so they could try and live a happy life but it wasn't to be. When Sheia got more older, she was more like her Mother and not her Father, but when she was asking her how she wanted her to be, she told her to just be the person you want to be and you'll always have a mother who is proud of you.
2154 - When she reached the age of 18, although before then during her days before she came of age she was studying a lot of cultures and histories, to cultivate multiple differences between a range species. Although she herself being completely feline, she was able to understand and relate to all sides regardless of how she herself looked. Considering that being an anthropomorphic cat had it's advantages.
2154 - When Sheia was 18, she got onto a Caitian Cargo Ship to leave her home world, although she was in fact brighter and more knowledgeable in multiple fields during her time on her home world, as to which then she decided to teach the other Kittens on the Cargo Ship.
Around 20 days had passed whilst Sheia was still on the Cargo Ship, she was still reading more on the different cultures on her data-pad until the CCS Engineer asked for her help. This was due to the Cargo Ships previous Engineer being Killed In Action during a delivery route to another system from natural causes. Although she wouldn't question the methods of the next CCS Officer in charge, she would make public note of it for the record.
40 days passed by, and Sheia was finding it more ridiculous that they hadn't stopped at the nearest docking station. Although Sheia's knowledge about some systems helped with the CCS, she found it annoying that she wasn't making an earner from being their "Voluntary Engineer".
When the Cargo Ship had arrived at the nearest docking station by command of the CCS Officer in charge who was also piloting the vessel, Sheia decided to get off the ship but she also waved at the somewhat new friends she had made even if they weren't exactly talkative. She walked around the docking station, looking at the different kiosks yet somehow intrigued by not just how they were set up but also how they were run. Sheia came across an airlock which had a shuttle docked she didn't recognize, she looked up at it's destination and her head tilted slightly, it's destination was "Earth" a System or yet Planet she had not heard of. Before she made the decision to get on the shuttle, she ran to the nearest call point and made a subspace communication to her parents on Cait (Ferasa), she asked them about Earth but they had never heard of the System. This made her wonder, so she stopped the subspace communication and with her small shoulder-pack, which only contained her clothing as well as some of the tools from the Cargo Ship, she got onto the Shuttle heading for Earth.
The trip to Earth took 3-6 months, so during that time she decided to sleep and dream, wondering what the Planet was going to be like, whether it was going to be like her planet or was it just going to be another simple planet that has people. When the Shuttle docked down at the landing platform on Earth she woke up, she got off the Shuttle and rubbed her eyes, but when her eyes were fully open, she couldn't believe what she was seeing.
At this point, she decided to walk around yet she wasn't exactly familiar with the other species as she didn't recognize them. She was walking through the streets, until she saw a big building, her ears twitched with curiosity as she walked over to it. She could not believe her eyes, as she tilted her head back looking up, the building itself must have been at least 100 or so feet high, in her mind this was incredible, such big buildings which made the buildings on her planet look like small huts in comparison.
As she walked inside the building, there were a lot of people, this made her feel a bit uneasy, they all looked at her as she walked past them until she reached the front desk. She asked the receptionist about enhancing her technical ability, the receptionist just pointed in the way of a classroom. Sheia didn't say much else except for a "Thank You", she followed the corridor until she came to the door which lead into the classroom. She took a deep breath, and walked inside with the doors closing behind her, her head turned at the doors and looked around. She was hoping she was in the right room, but it turned out to be something different. She sat down at the back of the room and just listened, all she could hear was about ships, engines and weapons which somewhat peaked her curiosity, she raised her hand asking about the capability and the more technical details about the engine. She was given the answer to her question but asked another about if they required an Engineer to help with the technical issues.
As the hours passed, she came out of the classroom although she let out a big sigh of relief, she wasn't exactly sure what would happen next. A voice on the tannoy went off, she could only make out about a shuttle and some sort of a ship. She turned and followed the strange people, although one of them came up and spoke to her, she felt slightly nervous as she responded. They had asked if she had everything she needed to be sent up, all she had was the pack on her shoulder, so the strange person didn't say much afterwards and headed for the shuttle as did others. Sheia followed them, and boarded the shuttle, sitting and tapping her paw digits on her legs but she got out her data-pad and began reading until the shuttle reached it's destination. From there, Sheia put the pad back in her pack and continued to follow behind, with nothing but curiosity on her mind as she watched them stand on a platform, she didn't know what to think as they suddenly vanished which made her feel somewhat squeamish. The person handling the transporter controls said she would be fine, she swallowed the lump in her throat and stood on the platform. She could see something sparkling which caused her eyes to twitch, around 5 seconds later she appeared on another platform but on something else. She looked around her surroundings until she noticed a weird less furred thing standing behind some controls in clothing who then introduced himself as the Chief of Boat of the USS Daedalus. She blinked a few times with her ears twitching as she walked off the platform, the CoB spoke but also guided her to the Engineering deck. She frowned thinking "Not another small Engineering deck, there was barely enough room to even move!" until she walked into an object where just by one single voice command, it would take her to the deck she was being assigned to. All the CoB said was that the plasma injectors needed alignment, her eyes blinked a couple of times hearing "Plasma Injectors", she wasn't familiar with this type of engineering but she did read about it so she got to work whilst the CoB was at the control panel which would make the Warp Engine turn on (Like turning a key in the ignition to make a car start).
Around 30 minutes to 1 Hour later, Sheia finished making the synchronized alignment to the plasma injectors, considering it was her first time doing this so this was new to her. She watched as the CoB booted up the warp drive, as she took out her pad and took notes. With the work she did on those injectors impressed the CoB, since the Warp Field became stable.
When Sheia went to the Mess Hall on the Daedalus, she came across everyone with glasses in their hands, unsure about Human customs, she picks up a glass and joins them, although the event was similar to how Caitians do it on Cait, she listened and agreed in the right places at the right time. She walked over to Admiral Gardner, giving her condolences for the loss of some of the Crew, Admiral Gardner however, informed Sheia that he received a letter from the Chief of Boat Walter Pierce about her promotion which she was unaware of but surprised her when she was told. She asked the Admiral that she would read the mail about it later on when it was the correct time or when she was in her quarters. Later on that day, whilst Sheia was reading over the Level 1 Diagnostic results, she received a comm from Acting Captain Jeremy Scott who also had gotten a promotion to ACO and the rank of Lieutenant Commander. She answered the communication, she was requested to see him in his Cabin so she went up to Deck 1. Standing outside of his Cabin, she rang the bell, when she heard the ACO Scott's answer, she walked into the Cabin, congratulated him on his promotion and asked him what he needed. When in fact, he had more good news for the CPO, she had been assigned the Acting Chief Engineer of the Daedalus which made her face shocked, she was confused but she would not let the team down and accepted the assignment with honour and praise.
It was 0900 in the morning, Sheia had woken up and went down to Engineering to find her two Crewman Engineers ready for duty, during this time she had assigned them different duties to do with the ship. Granted there were some issues with the plasma inducers between the coolant tubing but after an hour they were purged. Once the Daedalus had picked up a distress call and assisted the drifted alien ship, the Alien known as Telsa Bren needed to get back to her home planet, so by orders of the Captain, Chief K'Ress pushed the engines to their potential, by increasing not just the warp field diameters but also increasing the yield of the warp reactor, the ride was getting bumpy at first but with a new configuration added into the reactor, the ship was riding smoothly. With the reminder of the shakedown cruiser from the beginning, she was able to push the ships warp speed from Warp 5 to the achievable and to be recorded down in history for any Starfleet Vessel, Warp 7.1. Whether Chief Petty Officer K'Ress will get a commendation or an award for this milestone, is unknown.
