An Introduction to 'Dawn of The Lightbringer' by Grizz
After being grounded last week, a cross-sector adventure begins as Starfleet initiates the fightback against Vega... in a way.
Looking beyond the Episode One cliffhanger and the immediate ramifications of that, this episode is about investigating what Vega is up to in Accobar and bringing back the overarching narrative which has since been (incredibly creatively) dubbed 'The Accobar Conspiracy.' Everything our longer term members have experienced in regards to the Cult of Romulus, The Illuminati, Walter Peirce et al is back in play here as we start to learn about Vega's role in the ongoing war for control over Accobar. Compared with Munro and Hampton before her, Captain Mason hasn't been
that involved in the wider story - mostly sidetracked by Hobus and the Halkonian conflict - but now she is being forced to look at the bigger picture in order to save her people.
We'll be both starting and ending with the planned meeting which was set up at the start of last week's episode - though the format for this is a little different than usual. There's a map change at the start which may be a little jarring - so bear with it. Between these two (admittedly talky) scenes, we'll be facing down a Borg Sphere, utilising new technologies, engaging in (very) high speed pursuits and even returning to the asteroid field we know and (urhm) love. There isn't much more I can say about the episode other than hoping that you enjoy the ride. We'll also hopefully be finding out if Rogan's treatment of McClintock was successful...
This is today!
