Two weeks have passed on earth since Admiral Gardner and General Foster began deploying Military and Starfleet Security units across the planet. The military buildup has been met with speculation of unsavory intentions by many - and has led to an outburst of violence in a number of large urban centers around the world.

The President of United Earth, Sara Reynolds, has returned to San Francisco to meet with the Leaders of Starfleet and Military Assault Command in an effort to help resolve some issues that the regional governors have presented to her regarding this military buildup. The world lies in wait for her upcoming address.

Meanwhile, After the Incident with P'Trell was confirmed to have been caused by an Intrepid Engineer, Rick Peters forced all Intrepid personnel off the ship, and barred anyone from the Intrepid from coming over - except for their physician. Commander P'Trell lies in sickbay in critical condition - her prognosis isn't good as her injuries have exacerbated an already preexisting condition.

With help from Intrepid, Daedalus managed to discover the source of the dampening field - a number of Starfleet Probes and Satellites in the region were re-programmed and were emitting a jumble of false data to the computers of the two ships. A Short time after the field went down, a data stream that was intended to re-program the probes once again, was intercepted and Daedalus had a new lead toward "The Director".

After nearly an hour of discussion between the CoB, Jeremy Scott, and Captain Ramirez; Daedalus And Intrepid split company, heading in different directions for different causes. Daedalus's Mission is to find the source of the data stream - 30 lightyears away, and Intrepid is returning to Earth to apprise Starfleet Command of the situation.

Notes on the Episode:

I will admit, this story is one of my most ambitious. I have ran a couple of SRP's before this one, and I don't think I've ever done anything quite like this. I hope it turns our alright.

This Episode will, once again - Start on Earth (and will probably end on Earth). - more about the Earth parts shortly

There will be (at most) 4 map changes during the course of the story. STRP-HQ-2, rpg_renegade, oldbase, rpg_renegade, STRP-HQ-2. I will try to streamline things as much as I can to limit the map changes. Though, at best - I can probably cut one of these out. I'm not sure if Oldbase is in UE, so I will find a link - or host one and get it posted this week.

This episode will also - just because of the scale of it combined with the map changes - likely run fairly long. Truth be told, I'm kinda cramming an episode and a half into one block - simply because that Half doesn't have enough material to become a whole - but is important to the tale! If things go too long - I may grit my teeth and split it into two episodes. With this said PLEASE try to be early! so that we can start ON TIME!

Now, Regarding the Earth stuff.

For the first section, I have 5 positions and anyone else will be a face in the crowd (please feel free to be creative with your face in the crowd deal - what kind of people typically show up to political speech type events?....)

President Sara Reynolds - (Shoot)*
Rear Admiral Richard Gardner - (Martin Thompson)
Lieutenant General Benjamin Foster - (Open)
Captain Walter Pierce - (Klaw)*
Captain Veronica James (MACO) - (Open)*

The Three Starred Positions will be permanent fixtures as the Earth Storyline moves on. - The other 2 will be seen in dialog only after the first section.

Without revealing too much. A time will come when I'll explain the passing of time. During that time, feel free to follow along with the background info I give on site, and migrate your characters accordingly. (Any required items can - and will be given out - so bare that in mind)

Feel free to post questions that you may have about the story so far. - Loose end story elements can be hard for me to see - as I know how those ends are tied down, but you may not. Also - questions about this episode will be welcomed - I want to make this complex story as easy as possible to morph into.

Its unfortunate you couldn't have moved it to this weekend since I have this weekend off. I'd be up for playing the part of Veronica James

I'd lend you one of my computers but:
A. You're in the USA
B. It would be running Mac or Linux
C. Your map doesn't seem to work with the limited Mac/Linux clients I've managed to cobble together!

Firstly, an apology for running over....

I handed the reigns over to a couple of people and let them do what they wanted (with very little in the way of direction from me) And I think it turned out well - it just also made us run a bit longer than normal...I'm sorry about that.

Now, a recap....

I went with a slightly different story than originally intended... I wanted to take some time and ease us into the unmasking of our enemy,,,, (a good number of hints were thrown out, btw)

We started off, with an address from the President, which then becomes A Military Takeover of the Government. The President is thrown into a cell, right beside a beaten Walter Pierce....

After a time, MACO Captain Veronica James starts making her move to help break Pierce and the President out of Custody.

Riots are breaking out all over, as the Military Takeover turns bloody....

Once free, Pierce takes command, and organizes a resistance. Three months of fighting, and Pierce's largely Civilian force has brought the Military might of Gardner and Foster to a stalemate.

While tracking the movements of the Starfleet Admiral, They notice that he took a shuttle to an abandoned outpost in the North Pole. The revelation comes when it is acknowledged that this was a research station during the height of the Eugenics War. The station only went offline 30 years ago, during the Arctic Campaigns (More on that one will come :P)

once we arrive, we discover one life sign - later two.... and they're both the same man. Gardner - or maybe Gardner Clones?.Gardner Acknowledges that he's been working for the Director, and hints that the Director is a man of superior abilities. He also describes that the Director has 'United the Quadrant'...

A shot from the dark, ended the Talking Gardner Clone, and The team quickly make their way out of the facility.... but not before a note is left on the door....

"You think you've won, Pierce! But MINE is the Superior Intellect!"....

Comments:

I don't know about you all, but I was very happy with the turnout, and the episode.... I think it'll lead rather nicely into my plan next week....

Next week, we'll unmask the Director....and it may be the last time we see a beloved character..... Stay tuned for Details....

Comments and feedback are VERY WELCOME :)
