Mason and Menden find themselves back where they started when the Captain's condition worsens after pointing the Helia back towards Station Midas in a desperate search for answers. Conspiratorial forces turn on eachother as Vega's actions swerve violently off course... and that's when the game changes.

'Internecine II' - Five Teasers
1. This week doesn't open with a spectated scene, but starts and ends with monologues.
2. Commander Menden and Doctor Rogan have the same crew-changing decision to make for differing reasons.
3. "This is the fork in the road..."
4. This episode was a late addition when the premise behind 'Internecine' didn't have enough room to breathe. Nevertheless, it sets up the second half of the season in a number of ways.
5. McClintock fights the enemy within - with interesting results.

An Introduction to 'Internecine II' by Grizz
Internal conflict is rife as we return to the
Helia and the series, this week. While Menden hasn't yet divulged his brief encounter with 'The Truth' aboard the Midas research facility, it is sure to be a point of contention as Captain Mason has returned to the ship and must face up to her First Officer for her own concealment of recent developments. Last we heard, the Captain was facing a medical tribunal to deem her fit or unfit to command - the results of which will inevitably be revealed before long. But it could be left up to Doctor Rogan to pull the trigger on her captaincy as Mason shows further signs of concern upon pointing the ship back in the direction of Midas. Which of the two officers will be forced to step up to the plate first?
There's also the matter of Craig McClintock to attend to. Last we saw, he was carted off to Sickbay after the reawakening of Vega's nano-virus. While he had been stable for the duration of the away mission, things are going to take an interesting turn the closer the Helia gets back to it's previous position. In the second half of the episode, especially, McClintock will be fighting a different kind of battle to the rest of us... and it could turn up the key to winning the greater war.
Infighting also appears to have consumed the shadowy factions responsible for Vega's rise to power, though the details on this are a little vague at this time. What we do know is that she is armed with Borg and Accobi technology and has put her Sphere on course for Midas....
This can only end well.
