The Last Outpost

Hello everyone,

I am pleased to make a last minute addition to the awards list. I am pleased to announce that Jim has been awarded TLO's highest award, the Distinguished Service Award.

The Distinguished Service Award is rarely given out in TLO, and only by a majority Cabinet vote when a member meets the following criteria:

QuoteThis award is given to members who have made a profound mark on the community. By their efforts, TLO has been immeasurably strengthened. Their fresh ideas have guided this community; their actions have represented it well; and their attitude has always been inspiring. Such members clearly stand out in the community as legendary figures that have made the successes of TLO possible. This award can only be given out by a majority council vote.

Jim has been an invaluable part of this community for many years now. He's one of the most positive people I've ever met, and continually brightens up the forum with his cheerful demeanor and encouraging attitude. He is always very welcome to new members, and enthusiastically embodies the spirit which this community as found upon.

As some of you who have been here awhile also know, Jim was an outstanding STO division CO in his time, and helped to reform the division after it was in a bit of chaos. He restored regular events to STO--even in the face of low attendance, and revamped several different structures within the fleet. The STO staff to this day speaks highly of Jim and his tenure, and noted that it was a real pleasure to serve under him.

Finally, Jim has made the successes of TLO possible through his incredibly generous financial contributions in the past. During his time in TLO, Jim has contributed a whopping $560.60 to keep TLO's operations running--just over 1/3rd of the total donations we have collected for operating expenses during our tenure. It's fair to say that without Jim's generosity (or shall I say, Jim-erocity), TLO might not still be around today.

We greatly appreciate Jim's presence in TLO and how he embodies the spirit of this community. His continued support of the community in various ways has made a major impact on TLO and has allowed us to continue and grow over the years. His time as STO CO was exemplary and a model to future CO's, and it is an honor to have him in the community.

With all of these things in mind, the Cabinet voted unanimously to issue our highest award to Jim. Congratulations Jim! It is well earned and highly deserved. I look forward to your continued participation in this community, and thank you sincerely for all you have done to participate, improve, and support it.

Congrats Jim! You are a really valuable member to us! Congrats!

Congratulations, Jim - much deserved  ^-^

Oh wow... I signed on tonight in my second home TLO and started tearing up  :tears: in a manly way  :D with deep feelings of appreciation for our community. Thank you Jenson and The Cabinet as well as all of TLO peeps for this Honorable Award  It's an amazing feeling to see members have a great time hailing from the shout box to the ends of in-games and beyond. A priceless experience that in my personal hopes lasts forever... I started out with STR years back when STO came online and unfortunately STR docked and retired, and this community we are a part of is beyond the thought of not ever operating, that thought should never even come up, an evolution into closer friendships and a living breathing testament to our experiences in life. A sincere and humbling Thank You for all on TLO. Long live TLO and let's keep on trekkin!  :D ^_^ 8) :wiggle:  :cake:  :jumpy: :arms_2:

Congrats Jim!

Congratulations Jim!

I'm a bit late to the party, but seriously, thank you so much for supporting this community as much as you have, Jim. We wouldn't be where we are today without you.

Thank you SFC, Himble, and Serris  ^_^ We all make TLO an awesome community and very welcoming for new and returning members in so many ways. An honor in sharing this outstanding award with all of TLO  ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
