The Last Outpost

Episode three started during a 72 hour cooldown, Savage, Dulmur, Okane, & Ardoxx met in the Captain's office to discuss the future of the device.  Captain Savage decided that the device would remain on board for further research, much to Ardoxx's dismay, after a heated debate, Savage put Ardoxx in charge of the research.

During their discussion, the remaining crew were running diagnostics and repairing Ariana, the Chief Engineer, Lieutenant Commander River, made a worrying discovery.  The Chroniton Accelerator in the Temporal Drive has a micro fracture forming on it, if left, this fracture could crack and cause a cascade failure in the temporal drive, resulting in  the annihilation of the Ariana and surround space and time.

As the fracture can only be repaired at a starbase in the Ariana's own time, and that not being a possibility, TIA begins calculating the number of jumps remaining before the core fails.

To make matters worse, Kajan makes a reappearance in an attempt to destroy the device and Ariana if needs be.  The two ships exchange weapons fire, Ariana gets a lucky shot and Kajan disappeared, TIA reported a temporal drive shutdown, originating off ship.

Captain Savage decides they must get away and hide, quickly, so orders TIA to re-calibrate their temporal drive signature and expedite their arrival to their mission destination.
