Hey everybody! Happy Community Day!

It's happened before, and it's happening again. TLO is kicking off its latest Donations Drive, the vehicle through which we fund TLO's day-to-day operations (website, servers, and so on). In the past six months, much as those before them, we've seen considerable expansion - and our servers have remained highly active to boot. With growth comes growing pains, though, in the form of increased expenses. Right now, our costs include:

1x Webserver VPS @ $5.95/month
1x Minecraft VPS 3GB plan @ $7/month
2x EscapedTurkey RPG-X servers @ $10/month, paid monthly
1x SecureDragon Backup plan @ $23.88 per year
last-outpost.net domain name @ $20 per year

for a total expense of $26/month. At the moment, we have a PayPal balance of just $107.67 (we attempt to keep a balance of $100 for emergencies at all times). To provide us with enough funding to both sustain our current plans and expand our services (providing much-needed Minecraft upgrades, for example), we're setting a high goal for the drive of $300.

Remember, a regular MMO might cost you $15/month - TLO provides servers for four games, a great forum, TeamSpeak server, and a fantastic community to play with, all at no charge. Donate that $15 to us, and you'll ensure that we can keep providing all these great services into the future.

And, as always, there will be prizes! This year, they'll include:

• Personalized, signed letters from Jenson and JohnF
• Special forum tags for donators
• Steam game giveaways
• Special secret giveaways to be revealed soon!

Please donate using the link just below. Every dollar (or euro, or pound, or yen) counts. Donations are processed securely with PayPal, and the drive will last (tentatively) until March 8th, with updates to this post coming on March 1st with our progress. Thank you so much for your generosity and support!

Update! We have met our goal less than 24 hours after the start of the drive! A big, big thanks to everyone who has donated - this was a massive success!

The drive is still technically ongoing, but you'll all be pleased to know that as we've exceeded our goal, TLO is now securely funded for the next six months. We still appreciate and will accept all donations - if you donate before March 1st, you will still be entered to receive our fabulous prizes.

More information will be coming very soon!

Hi all,

The period for donating has now ended - prize drawings will start happening tomorrow, March 3rd! I'll keep everyone informed and announce the winners in the shoutbox and this thread.

Prizes include digital items (iTunes gift cards, Steam games), and potentially physical items as well. All shipping & handling will be paid for, if it is a physical item.

Thanks again!
