...Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting...

A long night of Klingon assaults, visual trickery and unexpected revelations. Shall we start with the two big ones?

- As revealed in the footage viewed by Jemma (as handed over by Peirce 2.0), Professor Fox seemingly played a hand in allowing the original Colonel Walter Peirce gain access to the roof of the East Tower, from where he would make his assassination attempt.

- In 2382, just under a year from the start of the Asteroid Base series, Captain Leona Mason and the USS Randall encountered a strange meeting between two Klingon and Romulan ships in the Accobar System. But more pressingly, encountered the shuttlecraft which David Rush would depart for Halkonian Space in - four years later. They even received a short message of identification from the man himself. But what does this mean? Why was it not reported? Was it covered up? Was Rush encountered again?

Back in the present, Ambassador Ka'teth was waiting to sign off on the construction of a new mining platform in the system. But such a simple process was consistently interrupted by Red Dawn attacks on the station - which became increasingly more damaging. Although the Ambassador was insistent that he would surrender himself, Michael Barnes and a freshly arrived Sophia Mason were not prepared to compromise their beliefs - despite his attempts to sway the President, herself.

Regardless, things took an unusual turn after it was deduced that Red Dawn was utilising modified Accobarian technology. Although attempts to defend against it were initially successful, Red Dawn returned in numbers. When called up for ideas, Sophia took command of the station put in to action a plan to "kill" Ka'teth in Operations, in view of Red Dawn's leaders, when he would try to "escape" from the station. All departments pitched in to ensure that the plan went off without a hitch... and surely enough, they pulled through.

It remains to be seen what became of the rest of Ka'teth's visit - or indeed how long it would be before Red Dawn became aware of the Ambassador's survival. But I expect by then, he would be long gone.

Oh, then there was that ending. Thank you all for attending. Rate and discuss, above and below!  ^-^

I really liked the beginning of the episode, going back into the past, seeing that one event. The rest of the episode felt a bit strange in my eyes. I don't know but I felt that some things where missing or rushed or, i can't quite put my finger on to it. It was a decent episode, but, to me at least, felt less then the rest of the season so far. Again, this is my personal opinion and it might be different for other people who saw different parts of the story.
