The day starts early as Captain Jake of the USS Hood contacts the Station that the fleet will be arriving a bit ahead of time. He also mentions that a certain person apparently form Dr. P'trells past is arriving as well, which seems to make the Doctor a bit nervous. Still leaving ample time for the Omega 13 experiment though, the science crew is on their feet and Chief Li together with Mr Archibald make sure the everything is in tip top shape for the trial.

When P'Trell goes down to inspect the Omega 13, Ms Delacourte activates Red Alert. This startles the doctor and she has a flashback of an event she doesn't quite remember but still feels as if she has lived it before: standing in front of the Omega 13 when the alert was activated, only moments before a large blast. Fortunately, the alert was only a test. With the task force arriving in the evening, the commander wanted everyone to be on their toes and therefore organizes a tactical trial the afternoon.

A few hours later, Red alert sounds again. A target drone is launched and all crew report for duty to battle stations. Mr Goodman has to switch off Astrometrics sensors and reroute power to tactical targeting. Mr Fletcher and the OPS crew do their best to disable the target drone. It does major simulated damage to engineering, before its engines being disabled by the station. A glitch in the programming caused the done to steer off course, crashing into the solar array of the station before it could be shot down. The real damage is minimal, but the solar array is out of commission.

Every other system is still intact and the simulated damage is evaluated by the OPS crew. The science and engineering staff continue with the Omega 13 experiment and start the device's activation cycle. Leo Goodman is also not resting on his laurels and hard at work re-configuring the normal sensors to take over the tasks of the solar array. He discovers something unsettling, the surface activity of both suns has increased exponentially during the tactical drill, and a solar flare of huge proportions is heading straight for the station. It's radiation would burn trough the shields in a matter of seconds, destroying the station and all on board. He rushes to OPS where Commander Delacourte sounds the Abandon Station alert.

Dr. P'Trells vision comes true, or was it a vision? The Omega 13 is fixed in its start-cycle and can't be shut down. All crew abandon the station on the shuttle crafts, just in time before the solar flare hits the station. On board, a power surge races trough the conduits as the shields overload, feeding directly into the Omega 13 causing a cascade reaction destroying the station. The shuttles race for safety, but are caught in the blast, everyone looses consciousness...

Dr. P'Trell regains conciousness, but her vision is blurred, she sees a white light above her and a figure talking to another figure in the room. "The resemblance is uncanny Talla!". The other figure steps towards the doctor. She sees a faint blue hue, and a familiar sounding voice asking her: " Dr. P'Trell, I presume?"...

So this was it, our season finale. From the episode numbering and titles you might have already guessed there were only going to be 7 episodes a season. But, what has happened this time? We're back where we started, in time, that is... I really enjoyed doing the first season of Genesis Station with you guys. I hope you feel the same. Rate and discuss below!
