So, my first experience with them was when i was a small nova class ship, went to join a fight against the borg. a large assault cruiser had red lasers that seemed to go right through the borg ships as if they were paper. I later find out these are antiproton beams, and "considered endgame" Though I'm curious. Are they really all that powerful? and if so, what are some ways to get them, preferably beam arrays. I'm level 46 with a sovereign class, so i can equip them I'm pretty sure, if not, then very soon

All weapons are about even to each other in endgame and before. They all have some bonus specific to them though (for Antiproton it is better critical damage and/or crit chance which is quite nice). Also there are some weapons gained through Special Task Forces (STF) dealers which are marked with [Borg] these have bonuses against the Borg:
  • Torpedos have 1000 extra damage per hit
  • Energy weapons have a chance to do 1000 extra damage

Where to get weapons:
  • possibly the dilithium store (never looked there)
  • through the STF dealers at DS9 for STF rewards (like borg salvage)
  • through crafting at memory alpha (also costs lots of dilithium + rare particles + data samples ... we have lots of the last two in the fleet bank). Also you need to max out crafting to be able to craft them.
  • it also might be possible to get some types of weapons by repeating missions that reward them

Also my suggestion to get you started for STFs (if you want to go that way) is to get the classic borg set for your ship:
  • You'll get the first part from the mission called Assimilation
  • After that you would have to start doing some space STFs to gain 15 Borg Salvage for the rest of the parts which can
be obtained through the STF dealer (note not the ground/space dealer).
Once you have this set you won't have to worry about shields etc and can focus on getting weapons. Also the engine allows you to fly up to warp 21 in sector space (21 if Driver Coil is skilled out to max).

The best part about Antiproton is in space combat, Antiproton weapons have a natural +20 Critical Severity on top of any additional modifier suffixes the weapons come with. (courtesy STO WIKI)

I have never seen any of the "[Borg]" in the Dilithium store, only on the exchange and at DS9 have I ever found them available for purchase.

Weapons with Borg modifiers disappeared when Season 7 rolled out, many people still have them (as do I). the Anti-Borg antiproton ground weapons are the closest we can get.

Well thats a total drag I was hoping to get some of those soon

Yep Borg APs with CritD modifier win. Too bad they were removed. Don't really get the decision.

As a followup, antiproton weaponry is now craftable through the Beams Research & Development school. For example, it is generally recommended to craft these beams at Mark 2 very rare (accomplished by using the correct doffs and having a R&D Level of above 5 in Beams) then upgrading them with your desired modifiers (e.g. CrtDx2 CrtH). Crafting at higher rarities can be a waste of resources, and lower mark = better chance of rarity increase to Ultra Rare and even Epic.
