[RESOLVED] [Possible Bug?] Higher Resolution not working in Full Screen

[Kingorgg]

I'm having trouble with getting 2560x1440 to work in full screen. It is fine in window mode, but when in full screen it just turns into a tiny window. (Image attached)

I know that RPG-X is based on Elite Force and that it is an old game, but is there a way to support for this?

If not, I'll just use 1920x1080 in window mode.

I don't have a monitor over 1920X1080, so can't test this out for you.

My only suggestion right now is to try changing the resolution manually and see if it will load up in full screen.

If you go to C:\Users\<yourusernamehere>\Application Data\RPGXEF\RPG-X2
You should find a file called hmconfig.cfg (If I've remembered the path correctly).

Firstly, take a backup of it.

Next look for or add if it's not there the following:

Code Select Expand

seta r_customwidth "2560"
seta r_customheight "1440"
seta r_customaspect "1"
seta r_mode "-1"

I can't promise that will work, but worth a try as I see it.  It might be that the game doesn't support a resolution that high, I honestly don't know though.

Seems to have worked, Thanks Callum603!

File location is in C:\RPG-X\RPG-X2 if anyone else gets the problem.

No problem, glad it worked.

I will mark this thread as resolved.
