Everything You Need To Know About mSRPs (mini-SRPs)
« on: June 08, 2013, 03:32:51 pm »

A "mini" serial roleplay, or "mSRP" for short, is a condensed episodic series of roleplay sessions tied together by a central continuity. They generally run for anywhere between three and five episodes. mSRPs can be written and managed by any member.

mSRPs are a helpful medium for individuals interested in sharing their take on the Star Trek universe, providing the creative freedom to explore it in whatever way they want.

By writing an mSRP first, those who are interested in eventually commissioning a full-length serial roleplay will be able to hone their talents in a smaller, more manageable setting and gain valuable experience towards writing something much larger in scale.

mSRPs are also useful if you just have a short story arc that you would like to tell outside of an SRP.

mSRPs can be submitted for consideration at any time, and unlike full scale SRPs, they aren't subject to a public vote in order to determine their viability. If you're feeling inspired and think you're up to the task, send a personal message to the RPG-X division staff (Scott Archer and Shoot) with the following information:

The name of your series:
A summary of the story arc:

Be as thorough as possible in submitting your application! The more details, the better your chances that your application will be approved. If your series is given the green light, do your best to ensure that your event participation and forum activity remain consistent. The RPG-X department heads have the authority to cancel mSRPs at their discretion.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to send a private message to our RPG-X department heads, and Scott Archer and Shoot. Don't be afraid to ask our veteran writers for some tips, either! We're all here to help.
