Monthly Report - June 2012[/align:fq2bdnwv]

Senate Elections

It is my intent to dissolve the Senate as soon as I am able to (June 10th) and call for new elections. The nomination thread will go up June 10th immediately after the Executive Order calling for elections is issued, and will remain open for 3 days. More information will be available once that EO is issued. It is my intent to expand the Senate to 9 members, allowing for more voices to be heard in TLO. This is, however, contingent on there being a sufficient number of members standing for the election.

I've been very pleased with the number of quality candidates who have stood for both the elections and by-elections. I encourage all members who have the time, interest, and qualifications to stand for the upcoming elections.

Financial Update

As members who follow the Senate chambers will have noticed, we've recently had a few unexpected expenditures. Our financial situation is still quite solid, though our Minecraft server and a couple of minor unexpected expenses (extra RAM, backup servers, etc.) have tapped into our reserves.

We currently have $168.19 on hand. We will be having a donations drive in July to cover the $105/year hosting fee, as well as our normal server fees. More information about that donation drive will be made available once it is launched. If you have any specific questions about finances, please contact Veritas.

RPG-X Summer Miniseries

This summer, the RPG-X division will be offering two mini-series. They are Star Trek: Salem created by SFC3, and Star Trek: Outcasts created by Criminula. If you want to learn more about these miniseries or wish to apply for a position, please check out the mini-series forums located here. Please direct any specific questions to the relevant mini-series author.

As an additional note, event submissions for RPG-X will not be taken this month, as these miniseries' will be running. Event submissions will be open for our other games, though.

RPG-X XO Appointed

I am pleased to announce that Martin Thompson has been appointed RPG-X XO. Martin currently runs Star Trek: Dauntless jointly with Nancy Turton, and is a frequent participant on the server. Congratulations Martin on your appointment!

Bridge Commander

As members are no doubt aware, Nancy Turton will be departing as Bridge Commander Sub-Division Coordinator. I placed a job post for this position a couple of weeks ago, but have yet to receive any apps for the position. If anyone is interested in the job, and able to carry out the duties required, please PM me. Additionally, I've asked for all members who play BC to check into the headcount thread located here. If you have not already posted there, please do so now.

RPG-X:CE 1.2 Beta

Veritas is continuing to work on ways to improve RPG-X:CE, an installer program for RPG-X. If you're interested in helping him beta test, please see his topic here.

Community Day

Community Day was a great success! Thanks to Grizz for organizing the overall day, and thanks to our game commanders who organized in-game events to celebrate the day. Also, congratulations to all of our members who received promotions and/or awards! If you weren't able to make the Awards ceremony, you can find a list of the promotions and awards that were given out here.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Signed,

Important update!

Along with RPGXCE 1.2 Beta, we are also going to be testing an all new side-by-side rpgxEF installation this weekend on a server provided by GSIO01, one of rpgxEF's developers and a proud member here. Interested members should view that thread and reply, and be on the lookout for more rpgxEF related news very soon!
