June 2012 - Minecraft, Armada, STO Events

Another events submission cycle has bee completed, and once again an events poll does not need to run. Therefore, the following special events will be taking place this month:

Event Name: Into The Dark
Event Game: Armada II

Event Summary: The Neutral Zone has long been a place of tension and peace between the Romulan Star Empire and the other major races of the Alpha Quadrant, notably the Federation. Now, a new tension threatens to break the Neutral Zone and begin an all-out war between the races. A key conference being held in the Neutral Zone is under attack by an unknown force. The delegates from both sides have accused the other of sabotaging the conference with the intent of destroying the peace. Forces from both the Federation and the Star Empire have been ordered to respond. Will there be peace... or is the ever-lasting tension destined to last, forever.

Event Name: The Klingon War
Event Game: Star Trek Online
Event Runner: SFC3
Division Contact(s): SFC3
Expected Length: Two Hours
Event Summary: The year is 2409, a time to stand. A time for combat. Two factions divided.

Meanwhile, the U.S.S. Kirk has been attacked and Lt. Miral Paris kidnapped by Klingons. B'Vat's plan to capture the Kuvah'magh sent the brave Starfleet crew to the past to save a legendary ship and hopefully put an end to the evil mastermind that is Ambassador B'Vat.

This a playthrough of the "City on the Edge of Never" and "Past Imperfect", one of the best STO 2-parter missions, so join us as 5 brave Starfleet Captains wage war on the Klingon Empire. Roleplay may be involved, also 5 people per team, so feel free to create your own team if the main team is in session and full.

Event Name: The Survival Games
Event Game: Minecraft
Event Runner: Griffiths

Event Summary: It's back! This game is based upon the movie "The Hunger Games". It's a FFA PvP arena with up to 24 players + 1 (or more) hosts. There are many hidden chests, puzzles and traps around the map, but the best items are in the center. Only one player can win.

Event runners, move off to your division areas and begin planning your events - preferably in conjunction with the division CO where applicable (so just you, Griffiths!). Please bump this topic once you have begun planning, with a link to the thread.

As an extra note, whether or not I shall still be serving as Event Coordinator next month remains to be seen. If I am not, then it has been pleasure!
